actually, obama has gone on record to say that he is not for the legalization of marijuana, but he is for decriminalization. he said that this was a low priority for him. it is also my hope that folks like troy davis and mumia are freed- and that the move 9 and assata are pardoned, but unfortunately i don't think obama will truly focus on those issues. his voting records as senator do not appear to support his advocacy for these issues- he supported s. 1959, as well as speaking at AIPAC, etc.
it is important to look at the issues... will obama critique the presence of africom in africa? will he truly get into issues of police brutality and surveilance? if we are to look at mc cain with a sense of criticism, does obama escape this same criticism?
how is obama going to respond to the fact that the U.S. just attacked syria? we already expect mc cain to have a specific response. and we do not expect it to be pro-active or diplomatic. do we expect this of obama, and why?

If costs are high because more people can't afford a policy, and as you said, insurance companies are charging bigger premiums and covering less as a result; then the only possible outcome is that Health Insurance becomes less affordable, less comprehensive and will be available to less Americans. So that means more people will not see a GP, get seriously ill and more hospitals will have to bite the bullet.

Since the hospital has to eat the bill prices are charging $75.00 for one tylenol.
Insurance companies are charging bigger and bigger premiums and covering less and less with higher deductibles.
If everyone has some form of health care insurance the prices will go down.

The reasons health care costs so much here:
1. There are millions of Americans that don't have insurance. This causes a drain on the system, because these people don't see a doctor regularly for check ups, to catch any problems before they get serious. So they end up going to the emergency room when something that could have been caught early becomes a very serious problem.
Most hospitals cannot turn people away and since they don't have money to pay the hospital eats the bill. continued

Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac were caused by the socialist idea that everyone is entitled to a home. In 1992 President Bill Clinton introduced the afordable housing act. The democrats did not stop the fanny or Freddie from operating this way and actually made alot of money. So , the socialist were not in a hurry to re regulate them either.

"The reason the US Healthcare system costs more here than in anywhere else in the world? It's privatised. That means more bureaucracy, more offices and office workers, rent, rates, etc."
Those expenditures add to the bill, and that is why I think it is unjust that the most advanced country in the world ranks so poorly in providing care to the most vulnerable.

actually, obama has gone on record to say that he is not for the legalization of marijuana, but he is for decriminalization. he said that this was a low priority for him. it is also my hope that folks like troy davis and mumia are freed- and that the move 9 and assata are pardoned, but unfortunately i don't think obama will truly focus on those issues. his voting records as senator do not appear to support his advocacy for these issues- he supported s. 1959, as well as speaking at AIPAC, etc.
