@baggedyman I don't know about that. If you watch enough of these clips, you realize that once you get in the mindset of what kind of answers come up, you can come up with these answers. More precisely, I think it was the tone of his voice and body language that got it for her as much as anything else. He LOOKED like he was trying to gather his thoughts. For what it's worth,...
Nathan Cook best remembered for his role as Milton Reese on The White Shadow on CBS, Detective Virgil Brooks on Hill Street Blues for NBC both Produced by Mary Tyler Moore's MTM Enterprises and Head Security Guard Billy Griffin on Hotel for abc Produced by the late great Aaron Spelling
He is INDEED an awesome player whether it was on Pyramid during the 80's, Super Password w/the late Bert Convy or Body Language w/Tom Kennedy
God Bless Nathan Cook, may he R.I.P. and he also played the Flute
Nathan Cook was amazing celebrity on the Pyramid Game, he and Betty White were excellent players. I remember when they had him on the show frequently. Not only that he was a good looking guy. I had no idea he passed away. What a great and brillant player.
i havent seen the utube clip yet. nathan gives the best clue ever to a category. it was the final category to win the $100,000 tourn. of champions. the category is things that are enshrined. his clue: pro football hall of fame inductees. do u think u could come up with that in a few seconds? i know i couldnt! the contestant did and won the 100,000.
And you can see that in the next episode, Marilyn does the same thing with Mary Cadorette. She's totally looking in the reflection in Mary's bangs to see THINGS WITH A RIM. Isn't it obvious???
But he caught himself. You can hear the judges hesitating. You know their fingers were on the button, but they decided against it. He didn't complete the sentence, and he stopped himself, so the judges let it pass.
Isn't it painfully obvious, especially on the second one where she repeats the categories verbatim, that it would not have been too hard to read the categories reflected in Nathan's glasses? He gave some thoughtful clues, no doubt, but I don't think he had a psychic connection.
Nathan Cook was one of the best pyramid celeb players ever. Just becuse he got buzzed once doens't make him a bad player. he made a mistake...the man was top notch...besides, he takes the first player to the top in this video so that kinda dispels your opinion
Wrong again. If he was so bad during tournament play, then how did Keif Ferrandini end up winning the $100,000 back in 1988? It took the sound mind of Nathan Cook to decipher something as tough as "Things That Are Enshrined."
she was the best player ever on that show in my opinion. There were quite a few times when she got all but one category cuz the celeb got buzzed for an illegal clue...so she could have won even more money potentially. I remember one time the category was 'things you build', and the guy said "a house, a building" and got buzzed...but she got the other 5.
nathan couldn't believe she got the things you gather but nathan gave great clues as always

the look on Nathans face after she won was priceless.

One of the best themes and perhaps maybe the best winning theme songs when they win the money!

How would you get "Thing that you gather" with "thoughts"
Seems like there was a mirror or she cheated somehow.

I don't know about you but the female contestant that Nathan Cook is with in the winner's circle is one of the sexiest they have ever had.

Marilyn Evans. :-) I think she looks like a young Susan Lucci...

Nathan is like 'how in the world did she get that?"

Actually, it was the contestant that was giving the clues. He was just as amazing receiving as he was giving!

there is no doubt in my mind that she could read the answers in his glasses.

Wow, she could quickly read little tiny print like that - and in inverse, at that?

I deleted a comment I made before I saw there were multiple clips in this video. It really does seem suspect.

Geez, Nathan died of a reaction to penicillin. Only 38, he left behind a wife and two young children.

its amazing i saw 20 seconds left on the clock and they gave her 39 seconds as her time so she should have had 40 sec for the tournament but oh well.
jaydude28 3 years ago 2
you are wrong, watch it again
DanoisBleu 3 years ago
ok it was actually 24 seconds left so he should have had 36 seconds as his time

Nathan Cook is very bad at the winner's circle because he got buzzed whenever 'things you build' came up as a category.

If Nathan was bad at Pyramid, explain how he was able to win $10,000 each for two contestants on this episode?
PriceRight89 3 years ago 2
What I meant to say was that Nathan Cook was bad at the winner's circle in tournament play, but in regular play, he was very good.

I have an episode of The $100,000 Pyramid from 1987, and it has Teresa and Nathan as guests. Was your mom's name Kim Canter?
