I agree that the Kaaba will always remain superior. However, this building is obviously grand and obviously a landmark which will always be seen with the mosque due to its immediate location. Yes, it is fine to build a building, but this building represents so much more. It is filled with a shopping mall which houses Gucci and Tiffany - representations of man's consumerist-driven culture. It is far over the top - and built to be grandiose. Why build man's grandiose symbol next to God's?
if something is superior then it remains landmark untill its superiority doesn't come to an end. and superiority of Kaaba will never come to an end. and no one is considering it to be grandiose to the HOYL KAABA. and there is nothing wrong with grandiose and tiffany in front of KAABA,as i said you Kaaba is superior

i know how it will look like after completion i went for umrah about two weeks ago and stayed on the 24th floor of the zam zam towers.... sadly i didnt get a view of the holy masjid al haram.
the building will now rise to 662 meters..........the second tallest
