Look up "box turtle" in google image search. The males (mostly) have nice red eyes. They are not really tortoises, but are often called tortoises.

Also, "pets" depend on you for their survivial. You should really be educated *before* getting them.

Incubation on the laid eggs is around 90 days. I'm not sure how long the mother carries them after fertilization, I think around 30 to 60 days, not sure though
