I think SS2K was Weezer/River's last breath of quality material. Make Believe is where things just fell completely flat. And then Red was more fun but not really any better. In defense of those albums at least they had a few solid songs (this is such a pity, hold me, perfect situation, greatest man that ever lived, miss sweeney, pork n beans, pig). Then came Raditude. I think SS2K was a happy medium of the old/new, now Rivers is stuck in this box where he only writes catchy pop songs.

I hate how the Solo's for the songs in SS2k and Green are so unoriginal (just the verse melodies). Not all of the songs, but a lot of them at least.

These songs are so amazing and would just be 10 times better with a rockin solo.

so true man, except the one on Crab is pretty cool. let's face it, the new Weez is NOTHING like the Blue album or Pinkerton. I'm totally unimpressed with this song, they need Matt Sharpe back, he was a key in songwriting too and reigning in Rivers from doing stupid songs like this. I'm a huge OLD =w= though
