Pin Gods is an excellent movie explaining how hard the PBA is. They have parts 1-8 somewhere on youtube (not the whole movie but it pretty much explains the basics). I've bowled intercollegiately and it's challenging. Cause there's no way to really prepare for it. And the lanes change constantly. I respect anyone who has the time to try and compete in this crazy environment. Cause I know I can't. Great video.
