  • OH wow what a nice surprise to see these big birds in Cheyenne! Must have been weather in DEN at the time for them to land here

  • or jackson hole they have a big airport but not international people from all over the world go to jackson one fo the best tourist places ever they need one too not casper

  • instead of casper having the international airport i think cheyenne should more ppl fligh outa there its dumb casper doesnt need a huge airport like they have...

  • NOT typical for CYS,however nice to see.

  • I lived in Cheyenne back in the late '80's. I went to Cheyenne Aero Tech, right on the airport, if anyone remembers that school. Right on the south side of the field. How many antelope blew over when the triple took off, lol.

  • Yes we have a little airport but a massive runway. Have the USAF's C-5 Galaxy (largest western aircraft built) at least once a year for the annual air show, and Boeing 747's when the Wyoming National Guard deploys that's if they don't another C-5. Plus since we are the F.A.A's high altitude test center I saw the Embreair E-80 during its US certification test.

    Boeing's 787 comming soon!!!

  • not to forget the AN-124 that visited a few years ago, that thing was a beast

i remember seeing that embraer flying around for its certification, but is the 787 really coming here?? wow that would be tight as hell! ill be out there with a camera for sure!

  • Whoa...thats crazy a 777 in Wyoming lol. The town i live in flies E120s and Dash 8s lol

  • Does Great Lakes Airlines' ground crew marshall in the aircraft?

  • yo wats the name of this song and who sings it?

  • The Passenger-Iggy Pop

  • wow nice video and ucan tell thy were diverted but still a good video and i work at KEWR so i see all types bombardier, crj, mcdonald douglas, airbus, boeing, dahaveline, embrear, i work in the international terminl so i mostly handle airbus a332,a333,a343 and luftansa a346 boeing 747,767,777, and dc9

  • Have any huge-ass jets visited the place since then?

  • they have a few times actually, last time we had triple seven was earlier this summer.

  • Yeah we get a bunch of DEN planes in here all of the time. I have a crappy video up of a 777 that diverted going to Denver from London. For such a small airport we have a huge runway and a bunch of room for planes who need to re-fuel.

  • thankyou. we typically dont get these giants either lol but what a beauty they are. living in PHL you must get some US A330s? or atleast 763s?

  • Wow, never knew these birds could fit into Cheyenne! Cool video! :)

  • haha im surprised these guys are able to land here too :P biggest plane i can remember ever visiting cheyenne would be the AN-124 which is amazing for this tiny airport in the middle of the city lol. thanks! im glad you enjoyed it

  • very cool

  • thanks :)

  • Weather's usually bad in Denver for those planes to be landing in Cheyenne, otherwise we don't get huge jets.

  • yea no doubt these T7s were diverts

  • Afternoon thunder storms, wind shears, low fuel means a diversion to CYS. Nice Video

  • A340/30 can eat its heart out. :P

  • haha triple sevens are much sweeter than either of those IMO

BTW - thanks for all the comments and the subscription! :D

  • I love T7s. I can't believe how big and graceful it is, and it's a TWIN! I used to drive to the airport about two hours away just to watch one land and takeoff.

  • me too, T7 is my fav. airliner :) they are very rare visitors here but when they do visit you'll know. Denver Int'l is just two hour away from here and they have loads of them, but i only get to visit DIA when I'm flying out of it anymore :P

  • My dad is on the airport board there. It's rare to see these boeing's land here.

  • thats cool, yea its rare but always fun to watch. we have had quite a few this past month, including a 777

  • Why were there so many larger planes there? Cheyenne's airport isn't huge. There was a 777 and a 757!

  • we've had loads of huge planes park here mainly because were a 15 min. jet flight from Denver and have the longest runway in this area; our runways can handle An-124s and enough parking i suppose

  • i was there when this person filmedthis, not near them, and it was really cool to see all these planes landing at Cheyenne (KCYS) because we dont really have that busy of an airport and it doesnt happen that often.

  • awesome to hear you got to see it! i was actually the camera man for this one. i always like to check the flight tracker online to see when we have big boys stopping in like these guys, they are fun to watch

  • josh, ur such a nerd haha

  • lol shutup

i still can't believe this is the first one on the list

  • LOL SHUTUP

  • Sweet planes. I flew in one from Miramar (KNKX) to Kuwait City.

  • Yup, Triple 7's are pretty tight. What airline did you fly with?

  • Continental. The flight was nice, but sucked when it ended because I was in Kuwait, preparing for Iraq.

  • Ah I see, was it a charter for the military? Anyways, cool you got to fly on one, only been on one myself with United I took from Denver to Chicago (ORD). It was really nice and I even got a window seat :)

  • Yeah, it was a military charter. I worked airfield support, and we would get either a 777 or 767 every couple days.

  • I guess you were a good distance from the front lines if you were working as airfield support which is good. I remember seeing footage of those military charters parked at the middle Eastern airports. So you didn't see any 747's though? I wonder why they wouldn't be chartered out when they've got a nice capacity.

  • That's really cool! I've been on one from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Denver (DEN), and I could see the Rockies when we landed! I wish my camera wasn't in the overhead bin!!!

  • i took that same flight on a nice 767-300

  • Isn't it beautiful!!! I've actually done that about 15 times, because some relatives used to live outside of Albuquerque, and we had to connect in Denver! They were nice planes. I think one was an A319.

  • oh i agree, its very beautiful :) and very nice!

  • I worked that night haha (Ground handler for cys)

  • Ah, very cool! Are you still a ground handler here?

  • Plane, really big plane.

I'm at college right now where a plane flies overhead about once a fortnight.

    *Homesick*

  • Cool i havent seen a 747 at the airport before

  • yeah. its cool to see them take off. I live by Del Range and whenever the big planes take off its really cool!

  • That's awesome Luke, you're right by that long runway! I was actually on Dell Range at Big City Burrito when these ones landed and I watched them land from there :)

  • Love that palne the take off power is amazing

  • 777 is my second favorite plane after the 757, gotta love those huge engines!

  • Ran out of tape!

  • Damnit, no rotation shot?! That's what I wanted to see. :P

  • Yup, that night there were bad T-storms in Denver.

  • When DIA stacks up, they get diverted to Cheyenne.

  • Thanks guys! The 777 was diverted from Denver, not sure about the rest. ;)

  • Wonder why, does anyone know why they came?

  • ya denver was shut down due to bad bad weather

  • great I havent seen a video like this before! 5 stars!
