Why do WWE fans hate on UFC and vice versa? They are two different forms of entertainment. WWE is longer and tells a story while UFC is competition.

Because as life has taught us, people always have to complain about something, and unfortunately the sports borrow alot from each other and some fans don't like that too much, it doesn't help that MMA fighters have jumped ship to Wrestling and Westlers to MMA fighting, especially because they insult the other highly and push away from it as far as they can.

Basically it's due to sheer dislike of being too similar, like how a guy hates another who acts just like him.

Watching wrestling is suspended disbelief

The majority of the people who watch UFC for its "realism," watch it because they want to see two very skilled, very strong martial artists fight each other. When I say fight, I'm talking about two athletes physically attacking each other until one of them goes unconcious or is submitted via hold.

In wrestling, you've got two really strong actors acting out a fight. People say its "fake" because its scripted, not because they don't get hurt.
