  • is he really crying??????this will be my examination for prefinals. do i have to cry too?? hahaha..

  • i have to memorize this for my project it stinks to me but cool

  • understandable, since Walt Whitman himself did not like this poem much .. all the best with your project ! :-)

  • thank you so much for posting this kind of poem!

  • Unfortunately my performance 19 years ago was not recorded. I think I would have enjoyed your rendition, but with the enormous speakers I use, it sounded like you were speaking into a can, I was hoping to enjoy the fluctuations in your voice. You're one of the best sounding voices that I've been able to find, it was just so muffled. I'll do a recording as soon as I'm able.

  • do let me know when you upload, i would be very glad to hear a version from someone who has touched the heights !

  • I might have enjoyed it, but the recording is terrible, distorted. I read this at State competition with one of my own and "Please hear what I am not saying" and I won 1st place and my varsity letter. Maybe you should try recording it again with a better mic.

  • thanks for your valuable feedback... that the recording was not good, never struck me so far.. will work on your suggestion ..thanks again ! :)

  • btw.. i couldn't locate your prize winning rendition on your site ... i'd very much like to see it and would be glad if you could give me the link to it ..thanks !

  • awesome :D

i just wish you had actions to go with it..so it'd be lots better :)

  • thanks a lot for your encouraging comments ! and yes i'll give your suggestion a try ! :)

  • This was very interesting. Very well recitation, it kept me at the edge of my seat.

    10/10!

  • thanks ! much appreciated ! :-)

  • very touching rendition!

  • Your ability to emote from the depths brings dimensions and layers of meaning that I had not realized were there - the human soul naked in all its hope, the relief it feels after long suffering, its experience of sudden, soul-crushing disappointment, grief beyond words.

  • thanks for your very valuable comments.. i particularly liked your very apt summary of the poems mood in " the human soul naked in all its hope, the relief it feels after long suffering, its experience of sudden, soul-crushing disappointment, grief beyond words. " i could not have summarised it so well at all .. thanks !

  • I agree, just fabulous!!! Wonderfully done! :)

  • thanks ! :)
