@Breyerlov This was not a moist clay that you fire. It was an oil based clay. It will never dry. I like to brush on a couple of coats of Elmer's Glue on it to give it a surface that resist accidental scrapping.
@3DworlD2 oh ok, it never cracks? srry for asking so many questions its because i sculpted a horse and the clay i used cracked.. so there goes about 2 months of perfect art.
@Breyerlov That is right. Oil based clay will never dry or crack. I had the same problem on couple of pieces I did that cracked. I was using moist air dry clay. On one piece I used oil based clay on top of the cracked sculpture and it look great. Take a look at the one I did called, sculpting David. You should try that to restore yor work.
@Breyerlov The best place would be your local art supply store. Otherwise the shipping may be too much. Just search for oil based modeling clay on the Internet and you will find a lot of places to order from.
