@Juggernautishere 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us.9 But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make a liar out of God, and his word is not in us.
I urge you to come to Christ directly - no other way!
@Juggernautishere God Is Light 5 Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.6 If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions.7 But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin. Do you have such assurance?
@Juggernautishere 1 John 1 God Is Light 5 Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.6 If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions.7 But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin.
@Juggernautishere (cont'd) Jesus did not need to oppose other religions - He presented theTruth embodied in Himself and not some mystical concept or philosophical idea - I am the Way, the Truth and the Life - no man comes to the Father except through Him. Jesus was bringing the truth of God to God's creation - the Jews did not accept this and yet Jesus was the filfillment of Judaism. They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.
@Juggernautishere (cont'd) However that is the situation for everyone in different parts of the world when confronted with the Gospel. Christians obeying Christ's commandement to go out into the whole world have to deal with that situation wherever they bring the Gospel. If the main thrust of Jesus's teaching was to correct the course of Judaism, why bother to tell His followers to take the Gospel into alien cultures. Sorry Juggernaut but you do not understand Christianity. (cont'd)
@Juggernautishere Jesus only transcends religious boundaries insofaras he was He was drawing all men to HImself. The professed faiths would learn of Him and the path to salvation as knowledge of Him unfolded - it's a matter of history. His birth in the Middle East geographically helps both you and me. The Gospel is for all nations and He was totally aware that not everyone would accept Him or His teachings. The fact that you are conditioned by your culture has to be acknowledged. (cont'd)
@Juggernautishere I am sure you haven't any idea of what Our Saviour desires from those who confess Him as their Lord and Saviour - you don't - you are of the pick and mix variety and not just from Christianity. You glance at Islam and now some form of Hinduism is put on the stage of your cocktail of religious experience. Your understanding of your desire to sublimate or strangle your sexual urges smacks of occultism. I think you would buy into anything just for the thrill of it!
@Juggernautishere Read: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 - What about the Body of Christ: Unity and Diversity in the Body 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. How can you disassociate yourself from yourself.
@Juggernautishere Oh dear Juggernaut you are so screwed up - You are certainly lacking in humility in your condemnation of other memebers of the Body of Christ. ''I follow Christ alone thru Hindu meditation and celibacy.'' There are references in the New Testament to unmarried men and women who served the local communities in special ways. Later, this celibate tradition continued as some Christians went into the deserts of Egypt and Syria to live their commitment in solitude.
@WinstoneP Furthermore the Church is the Bride of Christ and we are also exhorted to Love our wives as Christ loved the Church - what's so namby pamby about dying for one's wife. Jesus also said: Suffer the little Children to come unto me! He gave them value in a society where children and women were disenfranchised. If you're uncomfortable about expressing human love with the opposite sex then you ought to see a psychiatrist and don't hide behind either the Koran or the Bible.
@Juggernautishere Your statement about ''screaming children'' and ''doting women'' again smacks of the intolerance and inequality within Islam which constantly denies that it exists. I witness the behaviour of Muslims who do not have access to Muslim girls so they take advantage of non Muslim girls in a society where women can do with their bodies as they think fit. Afterward 'sowing their wild oats' they rush off to get cleansed for contaminating themselves with the infidel. Hypocrits!!!
@Juggernautishere Although you as a Muslim do not give any human identity to God you attribute a so called ''manly'' attitude toward God which reveals a subconscious desire to identify with a Father or manly figure. Yes, everything about Islam reeks of maniliness just as everything about fascism and naziism reeks of manliness of an inordinate kind. Sadly you use repulsive language like preparing for a battle. Where Islam has power, there is cruelty. Such hypocrasy.
Where in the Bible does it say that men or women for that matter should "go to church"? Christians "are" the church and are to gather together but the church has been institutionalized. I missed reading where "pastors" are in charge of churches in the Bible. Let's get back to what Jesus intended for His church to be and do. Think about it...in today's "church", function follows form; the institution. While Jesus' church form followed function.

Most churches center their programming (including their men's ministries) around marriage and family, yet a significant percentage of the male population are bachelors. Even as a woman, it's obvious to me that this turns men off from church.
Oh, and one other thing. The last thing I wanted to be subjected when I go to church is to have to listen to a quasi-feminist, male wanna-be, present a sermon that has about as much substance as soda pop. But let me not appear sexist here. I also don't like having to listen to some young man around twenty years old who obviously lacks any hint of masculinity. Very genteel, very, well "unaggressive". You know the kind of guy I'm talking about. The kind your little sister could beat up!
And that's why we men like the commercial whre the ex drill sergeant is sitting in the counselor's chair listening to another man wimp out. The old guy says something about going to "mamby pan" land together. I think that's what grown up, masculine men have been subjected to for decades now when they do go to church. Church is "mamby pamby land" to a lot of men, not an authentic challenge to be disciple of Jesus Christ.
@WorthDieing4 Why do men have to fear a diety that they also have to worship? Sometimes it can get very boring in some churches, especially the preacher drones onand onand on.
@WorthDieing4 Not necessarily..men are different than women..and the fact is we have a hard time even connecting with other men and here you go to church were there are tons of women crying and boohooing and you got tons of folks using church words and calling you 'brother' when they are not your bro, fact is..many churches are superficial, and too emotional and cater more to women than men. Many christian men are put off by the over feminization of the church in America.

It’s because the church has made unity into an idol.
Jesus said ‘ love God FIRST and SECOND love your neighbour not the other way round.
