  • concert fail!

  • bruce dickinson is a great man in every sense...

  • Here we have one of the reasons why Iron Maiden are great, not just as a band, but as people. Not only do they make sure that nobody gets hurt, which is heartwarming in itself, they also take time of their busy schedule to make sure everyone can still get the concert they wanted, and promise to make up to those who can't. And I'm impressed with Bruce's calm, managing to keep the composure despite all the screamings and booings. Wonderful people, they are.

  • why the hell did the idiots on bass, guitar and drums kept playing? if they stopped maybe people wouldve listened

  • @criticman123 Half the time when bands play on a stage of that level, the band members cannot even hear the lead singer or anybody else for that matter. They just know their part so well that they play through the song like nothing is happening. If one band member stops playing/singing, then the other members just assume that he fucking things up, and continue playing their part. It's kind of like that "The show must go on" type of deal when playing at concerts.

  • @linton58 You have absolutely no Idea what you are talking about. Its not very loud on stage at all because the stage is behind the main speakers. The amps are usually behind stage with microphones so there is as little noise as possible on the stage. This allows them to dial in perfect monitor settings so they can hear each other perfectly. If you had ever played in a band you would know its impossible to play good without hearing everyone else.

  • @bigfatdynamo32 In a perfect world you would be right, but if YOU have ever played on stage you would know that's not usually how it happens. It's incredibly loud on the stage, no matter what. I would agree it would be very difficult to play if you weren't following anybody else, but following EVERYBODY else requires a very talented, hard to find sound man. So people usually just follow the drummer, easy to hear, easy to follow. It would be absolutely retarded to follow the lead singer though.

  • @linton58 You do realize they are one of the biggest metal bands to ever live and are millionares. Therefore they have the best sound guys in the world doing that stuff for them. And it does not have to be loud on stage, if you do it right and don't have the stupid "ROCK AND ROLL LETS MAKE IT LOUD!" mentality it is not that hard to get a good stage mix. Keep the amps down and match to the drums. Then levels coming out of the monitors don't have to be insanely loud.

  • @bigfatdynamo32 I can respect that, I'm just trying to justify why these guys kept playing. They must not have heard Bruce stop. That's the sound man's doing if they can't hear them. Plus, I could see Maiden have that "ROCK AND ROLL LETS MAKE IT LOUD!" mentality you mentioned, so that is a plausible thing. I just know that all of the stages I've been on whilst my dad's band was practicing/rehearsing as a kid were really loud. And they weren't even trying to be super loud, they just were.

  • @linton58 This is probably just a case of "What the F$(K do we do?" haha.

  • What a bunch of pricks. At least the band was willing to play the next night. Most bands would have just packed it up and went to the next city. Maiden, on the other hand, chooses to replay the show on a day off, which, if you have ever toured, are VERY far and few between (especially for Maiden), and extremely necessary to your sanity as a performer.

  • Rod Smallwood FTW

  • @helldetonator yeah haha what's going on there? Did someone flip him the bird?

  • I love how the rest of the band at the beginning is just like "fuck that, Imma play for the officiers holding people back

  • Donnington '88 Maiden remember it well not something they ever want to see happen again.Would the people have booed if someone had been killed? Maiden did the right thing called a end to the show. How many front men would have come out to explain the situation to the fans.Bruce did a great job everyone lives to see Maiden another day!

  • The Final Frontier and "The Final Show in Rio"

  • @TheBallhead20 CONCORDO PLENAMENTE, ELES FAZEM A AGITAÇÃO TOTAL E POE A CULPA NA ORGANIZAÇÃO!!!

  • @TheBallhead20 CONCORDO PLENAMENTE, ELES FAZEM A AGITAÇÃO TOTAL E POE A CULPA NA ORGANIZAÇÃO!!!

  • the concert hasnt even started yet and they do this xD

  • the final barrier...

  • 02:10 fuck you alright? hahahahahaha

  • brasillians must go to ''sepultura and violator concerts''

  • Well done to Iron Maiden! Safety first!

  • Evenpro owns, at least they played the next day and not just didnt play. That was brutal from iron maiden and from evenpro.

  • am i the only who think the barrier breaking is a good thing? if the barrier held then a lot of people up front would have been crushed if the concert wasnt stopped.

  • @benjambreeg theroetically yes, one of the reasons we have barriers is so that they do break when they reach a certain load. however if it was set up incorrectly then it may break too easily and a broken barrier can cause pretty serius injuries if there is another surge. lots of edges and trip hazards- can be nasty

  • what´s the problem with some people?? the fuckin barrier was shitti, thats it, iron maiden cancelled, the show continued at the next day, problem fixed.

btw,the rest of the band took "the show must go on " quote seriuosly. they just played almoust the entire song!!

for those who treated brazilian like indians or whatever, come on guys, do you really wanna see a good rock show!?!? come to south america

  • why do you need fucking barriers?

  • fucking south americans. bunch of uncivilized brutes. we need another spanish conqeust.

  • @MacDaddyPooty fuck you, motherfucker nazi!!! the barrier was broken because of the shit production, not because of us!!! put a hitler statue on your ass and roll it

  • @MacDaddyPooty fuck you, motherfucker nazi!!! the barrier was broken because of the shit production, not because of us!!! put a hitler statue on your ass and roll it

  • @MacDaddyPooty Don't bring all of us into this, Maiden played in Peru on the 23rd and it was fucking awesome, no problems at all.

UP THE IRONS!!!

  • some people are fucking stupid and just can't fucking cooperate.

  • stupid brazilians !!!!!

No one was booing at Bruce or the band! We were booing at the shitty organization of the arena! The barrier that collapsed was a joke! And the audience behaved pretty well! Bruce fucking rules!

  • I'm brazilian (thanks God I'm paulista) and I'm really shamed with ridiculous attitude of carioca public. They fucked the show, destroying the protection barrier, all the safety structure and when Bruce decided interrupt the show correctly to back in the next day, most of people didn't like and worse: they didn't accepted that was their fault...

São Paulo and the EDUCATION of paulista public is very thankful to Iron Maiden for the spectacular show on saturday!!

VIADO !!!!

  • That's what you get get when you break the barrier. It's there for a reason...to stay behind it.

  • He handled that so well! I would love to see this happened to bieber to see what he would do! xD

  • @TheHamHammer

..But Bieber don't have real Fans !!!!

  • the band took the right decision in those circunstances...all fault was from production and the venue fr prepare a weak barrier.

you can see the despair of security guys to make the best for put everything in the right place...but the crowd not help too.

so, if you'll look for pictures from that barrier you'll see a lot of mendings with plastic tapes...shame!!!!

  • Ke penka....los ke paso ..pobre brazileros!!!

    bueno ....

    Ya paso ya!

    xD

    Saludos desde CHILE!

  • ... so please, when you leave the building, dont break anything

    jajajaja

  • Wow 200 security guys against 20000 people! hahaha

Anyway, sad for the fans.. :(

  • Entendo a revolta dos que chegaram cedo. Mas vaiar o Bruce é pura burrice. O cara adora o Brasil, respeia o Brasil. Às vezes sinto vergonha de ser BRASILEIRO. SINTO VERGONHA ALHEIA.

EM SÃO PAULO O SHOW FOI ESPETACULAR COMO SEMPRE, E SEM QUALQUER TIPO DE PROBLEMA.

    UP THE IRONS.

  • @CoelhoRogerio eles n vaiaram o bruce,vaiaram a situação

  • @motokerodameianoite6 Eu cheguei a pensar nisto. Mas vaiar enquanto Bruce tenta falar é sacanagem.

  • What a tits up, Maiden weren't to blame... silly crowd

  • Stupid Brazilians booing at Maiden. Great job!

  • @bultsi666 wtf u mean by stupid brazilians u fucking ass hole

  • @bultsi666 Obviosly is not a "boo" to Maiden.... its for the horrible situation

  • Of course they were not booing at Maiden, they were booing at the organizers at HSBC ARENA. And to the comment down there made by pablobotafogo, brazilians are not impatient and ungrateful, its not easy for some of those people who lived in other cities and even other states, people who had to work on the next day and would miss the show, to simply go home.

  • @bultsi666 fuck you ! im happy to be brazilian

  • @bultsi666 better than finland

  • @bultsi666 They did NOT booed Maiden, they booed the event organizers. The last thing you'll see in Brazil is someone blaming maiden.
