Very nice version, Tom. I saw David Mallet perform this in Maine a couple summers ago. Would you be willing to share the chords and strumming pattern you use? I'm a beginner and can't quite figure it out from the video. Good wishes to you.
It's Saturday and I'm about to plant my small but much loved vegetable garden. I listened to you sing the Garden Song twice, and I'm ready to go. THANKS. What a fine version!
I learned this song from Pete Seeger and perhaps was also influenced by Arlo Guthrie's vesion. Only after I sang it for a while did I find David Mallet's original words. Often it is the first version one learns that sticks I guess. Thanks for the kind words.

You did that song in the spirit and style that it was originally written in. Well done!

Sweet cover, i love this song.
Were you changing some of the lyrics to your liking? I noticed they're slightly off from the album version.

Hello there,
I learned this song from Pete Seeger and perhaps was also influenced by Arlo Guthrie's vesion. Only after I sang it for a while did I find David Mallet's original words. Often it is the first version one learns that sticks I guess. Thanks for the kind words.

GREAT cover, Tom!! Reminds me of Pete Seeger's style! This is such a catchy tune that I'll be singin' it the rest of the night now.
