  • @cameron1737, yea until u have a 6 pounder in the thick veg...

  • i really think a lot of people go way overkill on the gear they need for Micropterus salmoides... 8ft long rods with 65-80lb braid? seriously? they're not THAT strong... i mean whatever floats your boat (no pun intended) but lighten up (literally)...

  • are u from alabama

  • i dont wanna be this good at fishing....it's what i do for fun

  • is this texas rigged and if so what size weight are ya using??

  • @MrGattor33 You're correct it is a Texas Rig utilizing a snail knot around the hook. I peg my weights using bobber stoppers. The weight size varies between 1-oz and 1 3/4-oz Tungsten weight depending on the thickness and density of the mat.

  • @chadmorgenthaler A "snail" knot?!?! Seriously! Its called a SNELL knot

  • hey hoytboyz I was using a reaction innovations beaver.

  • what kind of bait are you useing?

  • i would have hit the mat with a snag proof frog.... i knew by flipping the mat your gonna catch probaly more fish and maybe better quality but the frog is a good search bait... ive caught 6 pounders on it though... NICE VID
