Isn't Alan Price, and Georgie Fame, aren't they Geordies? And don't they have their own LANGUAGE - NOT REGIONAL DIALECT BUT LANGUAGE??? If so, why is it not recognised as such? I mean, isn't the Geordie LANGUAGE older than English???
I mean, the Ulster-Scot dialect is legally a language, if you don't mind. It's more like an ILLITERATE form of speech. So, come on, Geordies, howay the lads!
He's one of the Best organ players -I ever heard or saw--I really like his playing on "I put a spell on you"------Too bad he plays almost all piano-anymore--I love the way he stutters the keys in a solo

rocker53zero,Yes I sure did hear Allen Freeman introduce them! This guy Alan Price was the backbone of the Animals with his talent on that organ & what a voice! Love it! XXO Excellent version of I Put a Spell on You! XXO
Spirited version. Love the way his vox amp rocks back and forth behind him. The movement on the stage during the NME shows quite often caused things like mic stands to jump run and amps to rock back and forth! hahaha! I've mixed live music on the radio and at venues and I can only guess what kind of a nightmare it was for them back then. Also: there were no such things as monitors on stage back then, kids. Acts had to be good. They didn't have all the overblown technology to hide behind.
Thankyou for posting this from the good old days when the fans screamed so loudly you could hardly hear the singing - fabulous times! Alan Price what an entertainer - and still going strong!!!

This was the best single, that Alan his band ever made,
Rod Slade who played Bass Guitar,
In fact owned at least 2 Burns' Basses,
the one he is using, is a Bison Bass. but he did play a Burns Shadows' Bass too.
and a Balwin Jazz Bass

Pete Murray is like a precursor to Ryan Seacrest, only three feet taller - but just as smarmy.

You can't beat Alan Price on keyboard though and his voice is still pretty powerful , too I also love Eric Burdon
