hi again mate,,any chance you could tell me what the software is?as im having big problems with mine,,just get loads of wavy and zig zagged lines, cheers wayne.
you need an antenna and a receiver on 137-138 mhz fm. Satellite tracking and decoding software on your PC, some cables into your soundcard. Lots of time but it works well.
great vid ! thanks for introducing me to satellite reception , i've experimented using my 2m colinear and ft8700 and have received a few reasonable images.I'm looking into homebrewing a dedicated sat antenna.
Thanks agn Simon keep 'em coming.. your enthusiasm is infectious!
It makes me very happy to hear of your great progress with radio and Sats. Best of luck with the new ant and I'm looking forward to making QSO one day soon.
All the best from Baildon near Leeds and Bradford 73 tnx Simon
another great wx sat video i personaally use "wxtoimg" software its free. Hope fully sometime during on of my few days offil put together a small video of a sat pass using that software... 73's
I've noticed you use Satscape and Radiocom.. In my PC Satscape become unstable so I use Orbitron, and instead of radiocom, i use WXtoImg. They are freeware and easy to use. ;)
I had the same problem with Satscape but then I downloaded the kepler fix. As far as Radio Com 5.2 I find it good to use with great weather fax images. However I use other software for SSTV and Digi modes like psk31 which are also freeware. Ill take a look at WXtolmg thanks for letting me know about it. 73 and I wonder how you got on with your Homebrew antenna?
Thanks Mick! I am glad you like it. I should have mentioned you first as you are always the first and fastest friend to comment! take care and keep well. Best regards buddy, 73 Simon, louise and of course! Dudley, Woof.

@TheVibroplex Hi There, you will need decoding software such as WXtoimage or like myself I use Radiocom 5.2.
Then you just need to download satscape and start listening out for the NOAA WX Sats on 137 MHZ

can you zoom? and see my house from there?
CoolVideosForYou 3 years ago
Not Quite, but some passes provide good signals and detailed images good enough to zoom in and see land marks.
I use it to monitor the weather by watching the movement of weather fronts etc.
2e0hts 3 years ago
how do i get those passes buddy?
