Not impressed, we only saw it flying straight. And judging by the flying the pilot was taught not to do anything without the ground controllers telling him to do it first. If thats how all J-20 pilots fly it wont matter how good of a plane it is the pilots wont fly by instinct making them easy targets for any f22.

@warhawk9566 The JF-17 is a joint Chinese and Pakistani design. It first flew in 2003 and was introduced 2007, that's 4 years to work out the bugs. They had a lot of boring flights like this one before it was doing anything impressive in public, and it is a much simpler plane than the J-20. The F-22 took 15 years to go from the first flight of the YF-22 to introduction. Basically you're belittling the Chinese for being professional, and taking the time to do things right.

The reason it took so long was the competition between it and the YF-23 the military couldnt decide which they liked better. And it doesnt take that long to do it right, if it flies perfectly well then after your first flight push the little bastard to its limit. but i've seen all flights and they arent doing it.

The F-35 for example has had over 1,400 test flights so far, and it is ongoing. And just to clarify, the YF-22 first flew in 1990, the F-22 went into service in 2005. That's the 15 years I mentioned. I think you're just underestimating how much time it takes to develop a complex plane.
