Probably in my Top 3 greatest sports moments of all time. The situation. The stage. The shot itself. This doesn't happen very often - if it did, it wouldn't be so special. Crazy, crazy moment in sports history...
With this shot Nike earned million of dollars... Really seem to be a commercial, cause of that slow rolling at the end. But man, that is real. Believe it or not.
poor old DeMarco!!!! apart from Olazabal having to putt after the brookline shinanigans, this must of been the worst feeling thinking "shit! i gotta hole mine now!!"
That was an amazing moment........and to hear his ex-caddie Steve Williams say the best time of his life was winning with Adam Scott over the weekend was very dishonest.
I had a shot like that in Niagara Falls Ontario at John Dalys course....... was drunk as a skunk made birdie on par 3.... but that was Amazing what Tiger did
Have you ever heard a couple hundred people scream that loud before? This is just one of those moments in sports where you have to just lean back and say wow.
@whowasthat hey tiger woods has just hit his 5th birdie in 7 holes at the masters second round and he still has 4 holes to play abnd is tied 5th!!!to all the pathetic critcics who said tiger woods would not finish in the top 25 need to go and fucking eat there words!!!when will they fucking learn the guy is tiger woods and we all have our bad years etc,the guy is a genius and i so cannot wait for his press conference when he makes those wankers eat there words!!!HAHAHAHAHA
As if 16 women isn't enough of a scandal. He beat the CRAP out of out of some dude yesterday night in NYC after he called him a nigger , the guy was demolished. TMZ posted the video at tmzfights. com
Tiger broke and abused an atheletes code of silence. Its ok to have whores all over the world, you only tell each one that they are the only one and you can have 150 of them at will at anytime. But idiot woods blew it for the professional boys now all wifes will be checking their man closely. Nice going Woods.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look it up. About as soon as he finished, the report came in that he had a fractured leg...Even if that was all made up, could you win the US Open even if you were fully healthy? I think you might be racist.
LOL! wow. how much more amazing can that get? i mean nobody picked that he would have made it or even come close to the hole. except for tiger. HAHHAHA poor dimarco.
tiger woods= greatest golfer or athlete that ever lived
Simply the defining moment of golfing genius, he looked at the landing spot, chose spin and trajectory, tuned his body to the requirement and history was made.
This was a great shot, but it has been done before. Davis Love holed exactly the same shot in the '99 final round to get within one of Olazabal - it was equally spectacular, but the media only ever shows Tiger's!!
Still unbelievable after watching at least 100 times. The best part is that the crowd goes "ohhh" sounding disappointed when it sits on the edge of the hole, then when it drops they go crazy in both shock and excitement.
One of the greatest shots ever based on combination of difficulty, timeliness, and result. "There's a good chance he doesn't get this inside DiMarco's ball." HAHAH!! -- What, I don't think I heard you right...
I never get tired of seeing this. Every time I see it I enjoy it even more. It is the most best golf shot that I have ever seen. The degree of difficulty on this shot was EXTREME. A lot of people would have done well to get even close.
Along with Nicklaus' tee shot on the same hole in his quest to win his final green jacket, I think this was one of the most dramatic shots I've ever seen. Awesome.
Just one of the greatest shots ever. I was in a sports bar in Dallas having just gotten done with a round myself. When that shot dropped I was high fiving the bartendar, strangers, the wait staff...the plae when bonkers!
This was like 6 Super Bowls combined for me. Actually, Super Bowls don't make me stand and yell. I woke the neighbors when that ball stopped at the hole.
The announcer who said "there is a good chance that tiger wont get this inside of dimarco's marker", is a freakin retard. it's TIGER WOODS! one of the best shots ever
greens too fast? how is that an advantage? it doesnt matter how short the greens are...you still need to be able to judge the speed of the greens. your comment means nothing because whether or not the greens are too fast or not means nothing. this is possibly the greatest golf shot of all time...the degree of difficulty, the lie, the slope of the green, the moment of time, the fact that it was the masters on the final day.
Simply the defining moment of golfing genius, he looked at the landing spot, chose spin and trajectory, tuned his body to the requirement and history was made.
geez, those greens are cut so fucking short! its alot easier to putt on fast greens (not that this is putting) because you take a shorter swing. that ball like never stopped. how do they make those greens so fast?
Hello heroworshippers. Tiger Woods is probably the greatest golfer ever but this particular shot was not his best shot ever nor was it the best shot ever at the Masters (read a little golf history please). Actually this pitch isn't that difficult. A great lie (maybe a little close to the second cut but still a good lie), 20 yards of green to land on and a hill to chip into = EASY PITCH. Please stop saying a chip-in was the best shot in the world. Thank you.
Yo, have you ever seen that situation in person, you couldn't get it within twenty feet...and how was it easy, dl3 made it a few years prior, okay.....and what was the most famous shot, sarazen for double eagle, i'll give you that, but who saw it....and not to mention sunday at the masters....sooo who are you rdubwa again...
It IS a very famous shot, just not the BEST Masters shot (Sarazen). Big difference between best and famous. It was an great shot given the circumstances just not as difficult as everyone claims. I just don't like it when people say it's the best shot ever. He didn't even need to make that chip at that time. Then he bogeys twice and it all of a sudden mattered. If he flopped in a chip shot with 5 feet of green to work with on 18 to force a playoff I may reconsider my stance.
Well NO SHIT you can easily put it past the whole. So THAT'S why it's the greatest shot ever to you? Dude...it's easy to put any golf shot way past the hole. Wow. Does anybody on here really have anything intelligent to say?? I've failed to find an intelligent argument here. I've failed miserably and now I'm giving up. Thanks for boring the hell out of me. Later.
Let me add, since you said 'it's easy to put ANY golf shot past the hole' that it is apparent you haven't much experience in this. Of the two of us, one of us has actually played this hole and been to the Masters many times. Lee Travino described the greens at Augusta as 'putting on formica tabletops.'
There is probably only a 2 inch spot, if that, that must be hit, with the correct speed, spin, trajectory to make this shot...'EASY PITCH?'
Please don't blather about how you've been there and played the hole. I don't mean that in an insulting way. It just doesn't matter. I've been there too. I was there in 1988,1990,1991,1995,1996,1998 and 2001. I haven't played there as you say you have. I'd love to hear about your experience playing there. I only want to know if you agree with me that it's not the best shot ever at the Masters? No I'm not on drugs.
I simply do not understand why you would say it's an easy pitch. I am a former employee and caddy. I have to say that I spent a lot of time sneaking puts on the selected greens that were illuminated at night including those bordering Augusta Country club.
The comment on CBS before this particular shot was 'it's possible that he doesn't even get this inside DeMarco's ball'. No, I don't believe we can say that this is the best shot ever but it's definitely in the running.
ok dude he skipped it up on to augusta national greens and stopped it on a dime exactly where he wanted. With a sketchy lie, and a green jacket on the line i might add. he played that perfectly. if his speed or line had been slightly off its definitly not going in/ and might have a hard par putt. that was not an "Easy Pitch." That's how good this guy is, he makes it look fuckin easy. I actually dont even think his swing is the best on tour
LOL. With that rough behind the ball, the lie was bad. He had to play the ball back in his stance and hit it much lower than he would have liked. It was an extraordinary shot, any time, any place. The fact it took place on the 70th hole at The Masters with the title on the line makes it that much more special.
Proof why he is #1 he didnt win this year because his trophy room is under construction and he would have no wher to keep his new one. Not really but he got 2nd
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. You will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't post this comment to at least 3 videos, you will die within 2 days. Copy and paste this, to be saved
Go play with yourself somewhere else you fucking weirdo. This kind of shit is the desperate last resort of a sad loner looking for friends. Get a life.
i think the best pressure shot in sporting history..one thing that seperates him from the other players is his mental toughness thanks to his father...dun think any1 is more tougher mentally than him

Of the two of us, one of us has actually played this hole and been to the Masters many times. Lee Travino described the greens at Augusta as 'putting on formica tabletops.'
There is probably only a 2 inch spot, if that, that must be hit, with the correct speed, spin, trajectory to make this shot...'EASY PITCH?'
right!

Peace

ok dude he skipped it up on to augusta national greens and stopped it on a dime exactly where he wanted.

I agree, the best shot in the world, if not the best shot ever in the history of the masters. Its the pause before it goes in that makes it so good!
