@raynus1 they really need to make a combat flight sim with all the old jets. I wanna fly around in a F7U ffs, not another god damn Me109. You could even do realistic ground control interception with multi-player.
Theres one on static display outside at EAA in Oshgosh Wi. What a huge plane. the main gear tires must be 5 ft tall and real narrow. still a coll plane for its time.
The one & only F 89 I've ever seen (I'm a plane enthusiast) sits in a small outdoor airpark in Hampton, Va. When I moved there in '67 at nine yrs. old it was one of the original five planes there. Back then you could crawl all over 'em. Though you couldn't do it w/the Scorpion, the F86 that was there, you could crawl in the intake & come out the back.
What's the name of this documentary?

Actually, this was a pretty cool bird for 1951: Afterburner-equipped, 600+mph, all-weather, RIO, and AIR-2 Genies...fairly capable, I'd say.
...and it's marginally prettier than a CF-100 Canuck.

@raynus1 well the CF-100 has a odd grace about it. :p

@SeverEnergia: Agreed...and an excellent aircraft as well (especially the Mk. V).
