  • I saw them in El Paso I don't know when, but WHEW! Better than hotties!

  • toute ma jeunesse ! ! ! extra j'adore

  • YES INDIANS CAN GROW STACHES IT JUST TAKES A LITTLE LONGER

  • I did hear that they were Mexican but even if they're Not, I still like this group.

  • this is fuckin awesome!!!!! and im a die hard metal fan. i love this shit!!! ahahaha

  • Das waren noch Zeiten - cooooool!

  • This is Pete on drums

  • If this was in the mid 70's than that wasn't Pete "Last Walking Bear" DePoe on the Drums! DePoe was the drummer for the band when they put out this album "Message from a Drum" in 1972 but due to the death of his father he left the band that same year. His replacement was Arturo Perez who played on their next album "Already Here" but he also left the band at the end of 1972 early 1973. If this tape was made after that than the drummer was Butch Rillera.

  • I was in my last 2 years of High School in Holland, father was in military, when Redbone played on the popular Dutch TV show AVRO in 1975 and the drummer touring with them was definetly Butch Rillera who played with them from 73-77 when he and guitarist Tony Bellamy left the group! The last album Redbone put out with Pat and Lolly Vegas(nrm) was in 1977 by RCA titled "Cycles" with Aloisio Aguiar on keyboards and drums! Redbone was inducted into the Native American Music HOF 4 Oct 2008!

  • Love love love these guys and they are so handsome....... as well as talented... RIP Lolly Vasquez.

  • BELLAMY VEGAS WERE BAD MOTHERSFUCKERS BACK IN THE 70S

  • LOVE THIS SHIT BAD ASS FUCKING MUSIC HAVING SOME BEER CORONA RIP TONY LOLLY

  • no lip sycron

  • I always thought it was cool how the dude with the regular Tele (not the Tele Deluxe) made the creepy squeaking noises with the drumstick. Took me forever to figure out what the hell he was doing with it.

  • Canadians, North and South Americans, are beautifully mixed with Customes,

Cultures and Traditions. Be thankful we all can share our belief and live in unity.

  • An incredible funk, almost mystical vibe....As raw as it gets in talent....Thanks...!

  • Looks like a fake mustache, didn't think Indians don't have facial hair

  • @hinatsu1

Bellamy along with the Vegas were part Mexican

  • @hinatsu1

That is because they are Mexicans. Injuns don't have 'staches.

  • I'm sorry for the loss of Lolly. I rediscoverd Red Bone after 40 years. I was 13 or 14 when Come and get your love came out. I can't believe I missed all these years not listening to this band. They were very talented and not given the credit they clearly earned .They are all very talented. So from this day forward I am a RED BONE FAN & proud of it.Thanks for making the world a better place to live in. love diamonddave1106

  • You are funny Josephine!

    Great video!!!

  • Love to watch a man groove like this at 1:22, he looks so relaxed and in the flow. Sounds great too.

  • @lianjie1963 so totally agree with that and he ...that is Lolly ....looks really good too.

  • I saw " RedBone" play at a concert at the Selland Arena in Fresno,California in1973. They gave a special hello to the students at Roosevelt High School where they were once students. Being a Mexican-Chiricahua Apache, I appreciate their music and their style. "REDBONE" there is no other !!

  • This is an exceptional performace.

  • Excellent quality........

  • I always liked this song... I have it on an album

  • This is awesome. I had no idea the artists behind this song were Native. I am also sorry to hear of their passings. I just "discovered" them today and now I learn that two are dead...sigh. It's really a shame that the kids today won't ever know what real music is.

  • @salome7580 -- they are more latino than native

  • @wickedbuzzproduction The people of Mexico were Native. in the end they have the blood of our people in them.

  • @jakerandall123 -- thanks for explanation... and respect to you.

  • Comment removed

  • @wolftracker666 --- you dude.... they were of mixed ancestry... latino & native,

super cool band... they don't make them like Redbone anymore.

  • @wickedbuzzproduction Fuck an A! They're definitely Mexicans bro! Viva Mexico!

  • This is amazing, BRING IT BACK!. I am an instant FAN, this ROCKS.

  • coolest song ever

  • sad day for all of us ---remember Redbone,Tower of Power, and Coldblood as great groups from my youth----all of those bands frequented Fresno for concerts many times---always great concerts and great memories----long live those memories!!!

  • Lolly will be buried in Fresno, California, on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010. He, and his brother, Pat, also in the band, grew up in Fresno.

    Rest in peace, Lolly.

  • That is sad news. My condolences to his family and loved ones and the best of wishes to Lolly. Sometimes you get more than just a video here on Youtube.

  • R.I.P.Loiiy Vegas.Mi mas sentido pesame para su familia.

  • RIP Redbone

  • dont know what you got till its gone, will live forever in time and space,Thanks for the music

  • lolly vegas died this morning of terminal cancer pat bellamy died on christmas morning i will miss them both dearly their music was great n will live on

  • So sad!!! I just can"t express words! Thanks for letting the fans know!

  • As a musician, I was totally ignorant of the talent of this band until this video. These guys have an incredible VIBE!

  • Tony will be missed, he was a great friend. I had the opportunity of doing some Redbone gigs playing drums with both Pat and Tony. It was an incredible experience, thanks for the memories!

  • Anthony Bellamy (guitar) died 25 December 2009. Lolly Vegas (guitar) has terminal lung cancer. Pete DePoe reports that Lolly has less than 6 months to live. Lolly is in a care facility in Canoga Park, California. Two wonderful musicians from a group that many of us loved. They had unique musical style and social awareness

  • RIP Tony Bellamy (1946-2009)

  • K STFU.

  • Marie, Marie la voodoo veau...

  • Didn't the witch queen of new Orleans drown?

  • @glimmer2158 A witch never really dies!

  • knock it off i have listen to this one to many times and once again to many times love it.

  • Dont worry about the fantasy thing Lisa. As long as youre not hurting anyone or yourself you are normal.

I cant find anything that says Lolly is dead although I did see he has a stroke some time back that left him unable to tour with the band.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL....but dont tell your hub... :P

  • They all had long hair Lisa...lol. I believe the one you are looking for is named Lolly Vasquez.

  • What are you all on about native shit for? good song, good musicians...nuff said.

  • Ohhhhh.... I totally forgot about this song, I always knew "Come and get your love" but forgot this one. Haven't heard it since the early 70's.. Great band! thx for posting!

  • Groovy background.

  • If they say they are native why not believe them. It's their music that counts. I remember this band since I was a teen. I love this band.

  • They aren't full native guy's. :)

    Red bone means half, ;)

Like my dad is Full maliseet. My mom is German

So i'd be Half maliseet and half german.

    Veryy interesting ! :)

  • Don't worry - I think you've been misinterpreted...you didn't say anything Nasty or Wrong. I know what you meant.

  • the guitarist always cracks me up at :42 for some reason. i have no idea why, but it's hilarious.

  • gr great song and awesome band

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Great rockin song.

  • Ooops Lolly's last name is not Fergeson it's Vegas....sorry 'bout my mistake on another post. Great guitar picker that's for sure!

  • anybody able to post "Maggie" from the Potlatch album? I don't have it anymore, it was their first single, that I was aware of - "she loved to tantalize, and make it feel like paradise, but, oh, nobody cry when Maggie die" - about a fallen woman on the Res, I think it was...

years ago there was a TV airing of some show Redbone did in a prison - the convicts weren't allowed to get out of their chairs, but one old black guy was halfway to his feet anyway, boogying in place, digging it -

  • many bar bands play this one...I still like it..mellow boogie woogie

  • Real nice singing by anishinaabegs hoowaa

  • Awesome fuckin song!!!!

  • they wrote this song?

  • only 1 guy is still alive, saw them in person years ago and they were soooooo great

  • This is the problem with our people. We eat foods not native to our people and die earlier than normal. These guys were really good. You take care.

  • Yeahhh

    I love this swamp blues....

    I love New Orleans!!

    Great band.../

  • I like these redskins.

  • terrific

  • Aaaaah Good Memories...almost played on the radio every day in those days:-)

  • Love it. This vid. sorry but Lolly is cracking me up, He looks bored out of his head. But never misses his licks. Love it Luna

  • long live redbone

i wish they would tour.original membors

  • Dude, check out there nephews for Native Rock, Black Foot!!

They wrote the classic "Feets in the wishing well",

    covered by SRV.

  • I wish there was more native americans playing this group was great.

  • Marie MarieLeVoodooVeau was a whore in New orleans who once gave Adgar Allen Poe a whip-cream witch-Queen blowjob in Baltimore,Maryland and sent him into instant Cardiac arrest.Poe is buried in Baltimore even as of today, and thats why the baltimore football team is called the ravens.

  • seriously?

  • if that was even 10% true..it would have been all over history...but thanks for the great story...now let's get back to the real deal..this song rocks like a baby in a cradle!

  • cool

  • No im in the mafia. Just be carfull boyo you may just wake up with a horse's head in your bed. Any-way that was a bit out of the blue are you a nazi.

  • haha what about adunky head

  • Theres already a donky in that bed mabie they could make love and produce some offspring let the donky live..

  • I never get tired of this. Thanks.

  • wow. G

  • used to listen to this years ago on 1970s compilation tape very atmospheric

  • red bone just played at the native american music awards in october 2008 seneca niagra casino ,,awsome stuff ,,ty for posting.

  • this song is so spooky. my goodness the lyrics and music reminds me of a bad nightmare that i could not wake up from.reminds me of being a child after watching too many scary movies like chiller theater.lol.this song is so halloween..with visions of witchs ghost.vampires..werewolves with the witch queen leading them flying on a broom looking like the wicked witch of the west.

  • Aruond or about 1970-1978 i may be wrong about the year . wonder what happen to RED BONE.

  • Wow..An exelent live band..Does anyone know what year this was...

  • They made me wanna be a Native Indian of the Americas well at least I'm still an Indian but

a brother from the East Asia. Love their albums and songs and musicianship tight rhythm chops and vocal harmonies.

  • I watch for the LP covers in the second stores. i would buy it just to hang up the jacket cover. don't have a record player...lol

  • Marie-Marie LeVoodooVeau (Sept. 10, 1801 -- June 16, 1881)

    Edgar Allan Poe (Jan.19, 1809 -- Oct. 7, 1849) SOUL MATES!

  • @S0CIOLOGY Marie LeVeau details gave me chills

  • To understand the music of Redbone, enlighten yourself on the concept of "Manifest Destiny" (Wikipedia). . Mexicans are Mayan/Aztec Indians. They share the same DNA of all the original people, natural born heirs, of North, Central and South America.

  • tnx for posting, was my favorite album for a long time. Redbone was a wellrespected band in the Netherlands EU, during the '70's.

Great musicians, great compositions, great stories, great spirit. Respect!

  • I boogied to this music growing up on the Pine Ridge Res. in SD. I met the Band on The Hill on the Yankton Res. in 1993. Baby I listened to you sing Come and Get Your Love and still love it. Bring your bad selves to Mpls. Native Pride is powerful here.

  • Thats the truth

  • Great ... thanks for the post. L&L to you and yours...keep shining brightly...! Lisa

  • no matter where they 're from, listen and enjoy.I was 13 when i heard about them in the beginning 70's.

  • Tony Bellamy is a Yaki Indian from So. Cal. and Pete de Poe is an Indian from the state of Washington. I forget the tribe name.

  • Redbone is a solid rock n roll band. Before all I had heard was Come and Get Your Love, which I like. I had no idea they had so many other cool songs. I'm gonna buy some of their music now.

  • You are on it! A very underated band. it is sad when a top 40 hit hurts insted helps a band!!!

  • MagiMan77: I totally dig the Top 40 hit though. I'm just impressed that they could rock too.

  • this video is cool

  • Gosh what memories come back with this. I remember seeing them when I was young. Anyone who says they are not Native has evidently not see in them in person. No amount of make can give them the classic Native features. Good to see someone keeping their music alive. Innaaissttiiya

  • lol please believe what Wikpedia tells you,and sure they are from "California" and they arent "Indians"...are you retarded? Ha,you obviously havent met them.

  • I had this single when i was about 6 years old. It's very cool to hear this so many years later!

    Pilamaya Yelo. PEACE

  • madame leveau ?

  • Hadiyh! So'indgin? I was looking for other Native American musicians. What a great find this is! Misiyh kyo! I remember them when I was a wee kid. Still have their LP. Take care and God bless. Keep safe.

  • so, what you are saying is that Californians CAN'T be Native American? although this band isn't FULLY Native, as Redbone means someone who is a 'mixbreed', so they are only part Native, but not fully.

  • but, shit, planetcheck, i just have to bring that up again. Californians can't be Native? are you RETARDED? of corse they can!

  • lol.....who do you think was living in Ca. when the spanish got there, genius?

  • what great music!!

  • WOW ! Magical mystery song !

  • Its time to see the true Americans .....STAY STRONG

  • Classic song...

  • Man I love their outfits! So cool....

  • Where they Native American? they seem to, unless they got fake make ups.

  • its funny that you should ask that kontiki78. i kinda have a bone to pick with redbone. i was lookin them up on Wikipedia and it said that their last names were changed from "VARGAS" to "VEGAS" to disassociate themselves with their Mexican culture..not good in my book.

  • mexicans are still native americans or Indians...

  • you got to remeber that mexico was invaded by spain to0 so their not 100% either, no people on earth comes from 100% native anymore

  • i beg to differ im 25% pima and 75% hopi not full in one tribe but all native!!

  • what i meant by my comment was that noone on earth is 100% full bloods of any nation. if you get one of those $500 dna test they tell you what nationalities your made up of there really good but bloody expensive.

  • @KATSLAPPER1-its vasquez

  • This is a sensational song!

  • Anyone got a video recording of the flipside of this record, it's called Chant 13th Hour. I bought this on Epic records when it first came out and liked both sides equally, although Witch Queen was the "chart topper".

  • cool my dad was really into this im 41 and still love it myself

  • haha belachelijk lieke

  • Great band! Excellent song! Meegwich for posting!

  • I haven't heard this song for 38 years since I went to their concert at Selland Arena in Fresno, Calif. Thanks for the memories.

  • Whare are they now ?

  • the band broke up around 1980 pat and Lolly made an album called cycles with 1 or 2 great songs but nothing compared to the old redbone albums, by now Pat Vegas tours through the states merely the casino routine while Lolly had a stroke and is now on the bettering hand, Tony Bellamy also suffers from ilness, and butch rillera has a for me unknown muscle desise,so not a very good ending you might say, but their music is still SWELL and it will always be remembered in that way

    heers mate

    herbiex

  • Very sorry to hear this news, hope Lolly, Tony & Butch get better and luck returns to them all - very very good band

  • damn herbie are you their doctor by any chance ? i dont know what gives me that idea..lol

  • This is great. I never heard of these guys until today so I decided to look them up on youtube. Awesome.

  • oh great, thanks a lot for this !

  • Herbie, GREAT VIDEO, AND LONG AGO, gaaf die video, ik had ze inderdaad al bekeken, groetjes Elly

  • Native Rock Redbone, the best!

  • awesome!
