@sebastianklima First you have to realize that that's a $40,000 guitar through an awesome rig. And the guy holding it is a legend. That being said, the technique he's using is he's strumming all the strings, and muting the E and A string with his thumb and the rest with his fingers. He uses it commonly in songs such as Can't Stop. I'd master that technique before attempting this.

Yeah, they're good guitars. I do plan on changing out the pickups (single coil noise, you know how it is), replacing the tree on the top of the neck, new saddles, new pick guard (I want a an old styled lime green pick guard) and eventually new tuners (the ones that come with the high end Fender Strats). Don't get me wrong, the guitar is fine the way it is but these are just personal preferences that I would like to change. Sorry for being a dick earlier, I must have been on the rag.

Never really listened to Frusciante's music in depth b4. But, he is a fluid rhythm player. He has a great style. the riffs are very Hendrixy, especially here on Dani California. you can hear the "Wait till Tomorrow, Little Wing" thing going on here.
