lol so easy to make it less than 256Kb. Open Gimp, File>Open> Your picture.

ofcourse is hard because it has more tools to use...but if you use it like every day you get used to it and then it's easy...and gimp is very good if you want to start editign pictures...with gimp you can learn the basics..like the layers..some effects...and then you can use photoshop...This is just my opinion...Probably somebody else will think different..

Hells yeah! The Gimp kicks serious ass and has about the same learning curve as photoshop, just google tutorials till you figure out all pretty. Just as powerful as photoshop, but open source and FREE!

I've used Gimp for years now. I can say this, for people that are new to graphic editing. The learning curve on Gimp is no more difficult than Adobe. If you've got to learn how, you may as well learn how on a free system. Gimp is as good or maybe better than any commercial software out here. It is Commercial grade software, that just happens to be free. Not to mention runs on most platforms.

I have a big problem with opening ZIP files with Internet Explorer. Whenever

I try to open a ZIP file with IE something very unpleasant starts to happen:
