Reading by Chris? He read many books in his travel. Some for Tolstoi, some for Thoureau, and many others.

In the John Krakauer's book he tell things about the books. I think you should read it.

yeah, he quotes and highlights stuff from few different books. but at one point he's reading Jack London's 'white fang' or maybe 'the call of the wild' and he says, "Jack London is King".
