Most of these guys are in relationships and have many friends outside of tournaments. Having something better to do, having friends or a gf doesn't stop you from being a nerd. If you play a card game like this you will always be a nerd in the eyes of society, just like you painted these guys with one brush without knowing them, the rest of the world does it to you. At least these guys put their skills into practice and make a profit from it.
What's so nerdy about it? It's a lot of people having fun with hundreds of other people in a social situation. If you play yugioh and you haven't been to an event like this then surely you're the 'fucking nerd', these guys are all pretty cool

Dude its not like that, i have been on every regional and national championship of ygo in my country and let me tell you, if you play this with your FRIENDS, it becomes an incredible game with a lot of fun, i personally always dance or make funny things with my friends between every round, to relax myself a little, a tournament of these category its too much pressure you know, so, dont bash people for getting fun in a healthy way.
There's only one gay person in the main feature, mate. About 1 in 10 people are gay, so you're bound to run into one or two in a room with 300+ people in.

Firstly, where I play I'd say 5%-10% are girls. Secondly how many girls play in NFL, or in MLB... 0. So that means Yugioh has infinite times more girls then those sports.

And in football it would be an unfair advantage since most women aren't the size of men and don't want to roid up to compete. But there is a women's football association that was doing well some years ago. In most physical competitions there is no contest to women vs. men, so with this being a purely skill game with no physical contact it's not fair to compare them...

There's no age limit to this game, I have people in their 40's and 50's coming to my tournaments, the majority of good players are in their early 20's so you're in your prime ;)

There are tournaments all over the country, but not all the players dance! Check out your local scene, meet some new people then get yourself down to the Nationals which are usually held in April/May!

The next Nationals is going to be next year around May/June, but there are plenty of other events around the country/world to keep you going until then!

Honestly to anyone who rips YGO nerds sort it out, they have fun and they're nice people. Just because YGO doesn't involve a lot of 'real' man sweat and 'real' men grabbing eachother it doesn't mean that it isn't a sport or un-cool.

As much as I hate the fact that the game has changed so much, I still enjoy it. I still haven't gotten used to some of the new rules but it's pretty damn fun.

@GradeAAA3707 u do know tht in japan yugioh is considered a card game for 14 and older...little kids can play too but it only seems like its aimed at little kids here because well, my argument is watch english dubbed yugioh and watch japanese dubbed yugioh and ull see tht theyre so much different...also if u havent noticed more than half the cards here r censored because america aims it at little kids, while in japan theyre not censored because again its appropriate for 14 and older

Not entirely sure what that is, but the venue was very large and well ventillated as it is a sports hall, so there wasn't any particular smell hanging around, thanks :)

@RealRiotTV i dont think they are. maybe if this was a convention of scientists you would be correct. i use to play this game and it did have SOME tactical aspect to it. personally i think chess requires more skill (no luck of the draw). why do you consider these people to be smart? do you equate body fat percentage to thinking capacity? it was just an observation.. you dont need to be offended unless your fat, in wich case you should probably go to the park for a jog instead fighting online
