jajajajaja me da pena la pobre chinita,en el anuncio sale tela de contenta,pero lo que no vemos,es cuando al cabo de 4 horas,va a la tienda como una desesperada a comprar mas pilas,para seguir enganchada,hayyy¡¡¡¡,pobre,y yo con mi gameboy advance solo tengo que esperar a que me cargue la baeria 2 horas y media,y ea,a jugar 12 horitas mas jajajajaja

The Japanese were much more honest than the Portuguese. They didn't show Genesis video on the game gear screen. Ya see? You can honestly represent the graphics of the Game Gear, and it still looks amazing.

They neglect to show the most important part. The TWO battery holders for the SIX AA batteries which will run dry with about 2 hours of playing.

I could never get my GG adapters to work either. =/

That's why you sat yourself on your bed, in a cool, shady part of the house, plugged in the AC Adapter, and played with that.

In the car, you had the cigarette lighter adapter.

Elsewhere, you had powerpacks.

What was the problem with power??

The problem with power was that I had bought two of their AC adapters and they didn't work. I'd plug it into the game gear, and it would still run off batteries instead of the adapter. I'd take out the batteries and it just wouldn't start. I had two game gears and two ac adapters and all combination of them didn't work. =/

Well that's a personal problem. Faulty unit. You take it back to the store and say, "What gives?" If you can't take it back, then that's a tragedy.

Doesn't mean there was anything wrong with Game Gear. I used the same power adapter that came with the Sega Genesis 2, and a found another one at the good will store.

Both worked just fine.

It doesn't look like Japanese ADs have changed at all compared to American ADs. At least for games, maybe I can't tell because I'm not Japanese.

God damnit I hate that little thing at the end of a lot of these Sega videos here.

Also, people, why have the nerve to defend the monochrome super-mega-brick? The Gameboy is awesome too, but the Gamegear was also awesome. It could've made a great competitor, it just needed to settle the batteries. I mean Sega had some good stuff but one issue stops it.

what bad hardware are you talking about?my snes controller is still going, my megadrive controller lasted a few years after a bought the system. plus SNES had so many classics, megadrive had just......games

I actually bought a Game Gear about a year ago, as a result of talking with someone about old handheld consoles. The downside is that it needs a lot of batteries. There's something wrong with the plug hole for the adapter of my Game Gear.

it might be the plug itself. mabye try geting a silmarlar plug. like the power plug from the SNES. ive heard that works.

I like gamegear so much!!

I wish game gear was still out their!

.......You know what it would be cool if they where still making it and had enough money to make a newer version like a smaller pocket version!

I would put that in my pocket everyday and play it also show it off to people!

Game gear is the second last thing that comes close to the feeling of nintendo#1

Game Gear is much better than gameboy color but... Game Gear was made in 1990. Gameboy color in 1998. We can see the power of sega ;]

The display of the Game Gear isn't that good as you see it in this ad. You always have to adjust the brightness when you're watching the display from a different angle.

Too bad. I still love my Game Gear.
