HI , Great work Michael and student - THX you share the things you learn to other, have a safe flight, and we appreciate you do all this video's is very learning...
That student seems a bit arrogant and not open to instruction. Like he's bore or complacent. Not a good state of mind I'd imagine for a student! Lest he forget...he's a student!
@69adrummer I would have to disagree 100% with your statement. Don was/is a great student, one that is always looking to learn new better and safer ways of doing things.
Nice calm, clear enunciation! I bet this calm and soothing voice demeanor helps to prevent students from making nervously abrupt control inputs. That extra step in teaching hover autos is a good one!
The owner/student is a airplane pilot, which might be a cause for him pulling back on the cyclic, but don't think that this is the primary cause for the reason. Hover autos are kind of tricky, trickier than they really are. Most students that I have instructed get nervous even thinking about doing them, causing the outcome to be less that desired. Just stay relaxed, eyes out a good 40ft or more, and keep that arm on your leg for stability, those are the things that get most people.
08:15 onwards Don AKA Mr Garrison :) hahahahaha, joking, he seems nice, made me laugh tho.

is his tendency to pull back due to a prior experience of flying airplanes? I'm thinking he has a background in airplanes, I may be totally wrong.
Another great video by the way. There's obviously a lot to learn and you're a very calm instructor.

It is the students aircraft. The company I work for overhauled it for him and now is learning how to fly the thing. Good times!
