Why do they hate Ron Paul? I mean I used to consider myself a supporter/activist for Occupy Wallstreet after attending a few marches here in NY and in DC. I have learned however that the Occupy movement was not what I thought it was. Shame too....could have been so much more than it has become.

I think a good portion support him, but I think a lot of these people have more of a libertarian-anarcho-communism attitude rather than an libertarian-anarcho-capitalism attitude. I've been very supportive of the OWS movement but I honestly think it's ran its course in effectiveness. They refuse to get in the political arena and they refuse to start a true revolution. So what the hell is the point of crashing Ron Paul's speech (the one man who they have the most in common with) if they just keep repeating the same mantra of "we are the 99%!"? @OurOxygen I think what it comes down to is that we have two options if we really want to "change" the system...either we try to elect people who can't be corrupted by power and represent WE THE PEOPLE (as I feel Ron Paul would do) or we need to tear the system down. OWS doesn't want to take either route...so they are stuck in this grey area where their message gets bogged down by the inability to make the change they seek.
