also, you should consider that Jamiroquai is not the same since Toby left, not since Stu left. Toby wrote the best Jamiroquai tunes ever. Stu just spiced'em up a bit with his playing, that's all.

Nobody will ever beat what stu zender brought to the table. Paul turner is great. Great player, amazing feel, groove, funky but Stu Zender was out and out Funk Money. He was acid jazz....he was very much a sculpter of songs. I think Paul does an amazing job but...Jamiroquai haven't quite been the same since Zender left.

It's a shame cos they were huge shoes to fill.

Well guys, Paul is unbelievably good on both fretless and fretted, he really has the touch.

To those who can't help but compare him to Stuart, the latter is a groove master, 110% funk. Maybe Paul is more versatile, not sure Zender would have done well with Annie Lennox...

Fact is, everytime I listen to his bassline on "Space Cowboy" I realize the guy is a monster.

Stu is the man. I respect Paul, but Stu is the perfect bass player for Jamiroquai. He made me a Jamiroquai fanatic along with JK. They both have a special funkiness, so its evident that from 1997 Jamiroquai lost the real funk

I've been looking for words to explain why I want him back to the band for ages. I'll try my best to explain it :)

I know many people like the current bassist. That being said, for me, his bass line sounds too soft and mellow. I miss Stuart's solid, violent, groovy and funky way of play.
