I am surprised that noone knows the startup boost trick... Reu tav the RPMS between blue and green before you start off and you will take off without all the wheel spin and you get up to speed MUCH faster. Works both in the start and after you've wrecked.

I have a full run of this game on the hardest difficulty, but for those 2 years since people only make nostalgic comments and nothing of my obvious skill (as if these inferior species are good enough to parallel ME on beating it on Hard Mode with Manual Transmission and on the keyboard) I have simply set it to private. So there.
