guys i have a question. I have a single 8800GT and i want to upgrade. Now i could buy a second 9800GT for SLI and get the performance of a GTX280 at stock speeds- that is of course if the game supports SLI- OR-0 and its a big OR- should I buy a New GPU all together like a GTX275 SuperClocked and SLI that down the road- but then I will be in the same position as I am now- there will be a faster card when I want to SLI the 275. So- Any Opinions anybody????

first of all a new graphics card comes out about every 20 days

i would recommend that u keep u p with u r 8800gt and save money for a better graphics card

nice, thats what i was thinkin to, i might just ride out my 8800GT SuperClocked until it cant play any games on max, then ill update. Cuz my highly overclocked 8800GT SuperClocked can play Crysis on its highest settings including the Natural Mod, at 1680X1050. Awsome stuff.

two 8800GT/9800GT's in SLI does not equal a GTX 280. It equals a GTX 260 AT BEST and varies on system. It is always better to go one card as opposed to SLI, so get a GTX 275. Do not get a superclocked version, just overclock it yourself

um not. The superclocked chips are individually cherry picked up and out due to their thermal properties and can be overclocked much higher. My superclocked chip can go all the way up to 730mhz Core over a stock 600mhz core with more room to go. Also, 2 8800GT Superclocked cards in SLI beat the 260 and has the equivalent performance of the 280. Look it up.
