  • Your horses look healthy, happy and relaxed. They are super cute too! Congrats!

  • i have seen horses without carriages and they don't show any of this.

  • @greatbigbubby Sorry I'm missing your point....?

  • LOL- if the exhaust is so bad- why aren't biker, pedicabbers, and other humans allowed to work outside not keeling over in NYC? Because the pollution thing is a bunch of CRAP that IDIOTS want to believe! The lung of a horse is SO FAR AWAY from the mouth & nostrils that I would PAY YOU to show me ONE SINGLE HORSE that has reapiratory issues from working outside in NYC. You need to complain to your local gov't if you think it's too polluted for a horse on your streets!

  • @carriagerentaldotcom well said

  • Draft breeds LOVE their work! Even my 10HH shetland cross Jasper, Spunky as ever will go right from rideing horse to pulling me in something with onlya few hrs of ground work done. He pulled me in a regular childrens sled in the 1st snowfall, theres noting wrong with this! they are given quit enough rest! an look at the way they trot to him begging for work to do! they love the guy and their work! Stop bugging him! Id'e tell u to F yourself too if i had to get this bullshit all the time.... >_>

  • @chloegurl043 good comment

  • your horses all seem very relaxed, you must be a good owner. i've never had a problem with carriage horses in New York, they have been doing it for years and i have meet carriage horses from other cities, they all seem happy enough and at the gate they all came up to so so they seem to like you :)

  • @eques101 ehanx

  • These horses are breed to pull things! They love to do what they do!

  • The only way blinders would be cruel is if someone thrust nails into any part of them.

  • What is wrong with peta? I wish all animals were as well cared for as these horses.

  • Beautiful.. your horses are lucky to have you.

  • I think you are dooing a great job with the horses! Keep up the good work!

  • What about the pollution and other dangers you are subjecting the horses to when driving in the city? I personally do not believe it is a healthy environment for them, us either, but we are free to walk away. I am voting NO to carriage horses in the city. Any way you look at it, its animal exploitation. Find a new line of work.

  • @MuleKist PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GO FCUK YOURSELF.

Your vote like your opinion is meaningless. You affect NOTHING.

Furthermore you know nothing about me or MY horses. I have been in business for over 25 years, and will be for 25 more!

So take your self rightous nonsense and shove it. Go protest outside your local STEAK HOUSE or BUTCHER SHOP, you do know what goes on in those places don'y you. ...moron.

  • @StopLiesSeeTruth - nice language. Says alot about u

  • @MuleKist Moronic comments, says more about you. But don't feel bad, you are an atypical petard. Self rightous, self important, arrogant and no info, great way to go thru life. BTW these are MY VIDS, if you don't like them (the truth that is) go fcuk yourself. SIMPLE

  • @StopLiesSeeTruth don't lower yourself to his standards. your exploiting animals just like my boss exploits me. I go to work to feed myself family and horses. your horses work to pay for their board. they will live a longer happier life working just like a person getting exersise. What happened with the vote by the way?

  • @123456789mischief

We won, and the City gave us a raise of 50%.

  • @StopLiesSeeTruth outstanding! common sense prevailed over stupidity for once.

  • these look like some spoiled horses to me! PETA if full of BS about everything they say!

  • You have some very beautiful horses! What breed(s) do you use?

  • Thank you. Most of my horses are Percheron crosses.

  • i know why u have 2 put da blankeys on them but why the neck covers isnt dat a little overboard

  • Last night, it was 11 degrees, with a wind chill of -2.

I like to keep 'em comfy, the Catskills can be as cold as anywhere in the US, especially at 2000 feet, it's freeze zone 5 where we are.

  • Your videos are FANTASTIC!!! I just found them and have looked through a bunch of them. Thank you for sharing the truth and taking us inside the lives of these horses.

I love how you show the farm the horses go to outside of the city too. Do the carriage rides go all year round in NYC?

    Keep up the great work!

  • Finbar is such a cute little charm troll :D

  • I love the way these knownothing petaRDS shoot their mouths off, then get a roasting, then remove the comments !!

    ha ha hee hee.

    tards

  • Those horses are adorable...and clearly healthy and happy! Keep up the fabulous work!

  • Thank you VERY much!

  • Removed and ac closed !!

    Thanks for playing !!!

  • What about people who don't care about their pets? Should we just ban pets because some are unfortunately mistreated? How many kids are abused in a year? Should we ban people from having kids?

And if you can find a field anywhere in the world that doesn't have any bird or rodent poop in it, let me know. My field is full of rabbit poop, bird poop, and deer poop.

Why is living on the 2nd story bad? Those horses will never have ground water seep into the stall, a major issue in my barn.

  • Where in the world are yougetting your info!? EVERY single thing you just said is untrue and ridicukous. period. We have only box stalls in NYC, no horses are skinny...if you think they are its bc they are standatdbreds (look it up), rat poop? NO. PS birds shit in the country too. take a closer look at my vids. learn more before eating propaganda so willingly. maybe read a book about horses befire telling horse people what to do, idiot

  • You got that right !!!

  • and in closing, PETA is wackO

  • Within equine owners, there are issues such as the use of shoes, open roaming, too much alfalfa(produces stones) and blanketing reducing the normal winter coat growth. (IMO important for healthy horses.) Understanding how a vets business can be hurt by farriers, I would be very warry of any vets testimony. These issues are common and can be very important to individual horse owners, the ones who really care about the horses.

  • The problem is everyone has their own opinion based on their experiences. Naturaly you might say. The world of equines is vast. From mini's to racing Thorobreds, from Reining Quarter horses, to Central Park Carriage Horses, from Polo ponies to Belgian plow horses, Araibians to mustangs OK I'll stop. My point is no one knows ALL about horses, not unless you believe in reincarnation.

What's good for a desert Arabian might not work out for for a Rocky Mountain Saddle horse. So to each their own

  • I can just imagine the reactions you would get from the ara people if you let a winter coat horse out in public.

Yes, there is quite a range of horses and needs do vary. As running barefoot goes, it is interesting to see this practice spread to competition horses in every area. The Houston Police have a barefoot program, which has helped strengthen the hoofs by increased blood flow from the flexing gained from removing shoes.

  • Next time I visit Philly, I need to drop down and go for a ride. Got an invite to Garlands ranch in Virgina, so it will be a mounted vacation.

  • You have a nice bunch of horses and they look happy. All the horses(Arabians) we have had lived beyond 34 yrs. We have watched green horses being broke to ride. mustangs given out to trainers by the BLM to be later auctioned off.

Many call the carriages "Hansoms", they are not. What I have seen of the carriages, they have rubber wheels which do not wear ruts.

  • The ruber wheels actualy do wear ruts as the tarmac gets a little softer in the summer.

The Hansom cab was a 2 wheeled vehicle , that carried only 2 passengers. The driver sat high benid the passengers and his weight would cuonter balance the carriage. The name Hansom was the family that made them.

One of our stable owners has an original fron the Park, it belonged to and was driven by his father or grandfather.

  • I wasn't thinking of the wheel on soft tarmac as wear, but I do see how the weight would affect the surface. The Hansom cab brings me back to the times I read of Holmes and Watson.

  • PETA are insane. Im all for treating Animals Humanely but they want to terrorize fishermen, close zoos (some of which old animals on the verge of extinction) and want everyone to stop eating meat, milk and eggs.

When they got all pissy about Obama swatting a fly I wasn't the least bit surprised. I bet PETA ends up killing more animals by their actions then they do saving them.

  • our family had a horse named Buck. i was very young, and dont remember what breed he was, but he was a very happy horse, quite a bit of baby fat. he died of old age, and i really miss him. he would always come to me when i would feed and water him, and whenever i would come near the cage. i didnt see any abuse there.

  • The ar freaks would say that ANY form of keeping an animal is abusive. Eventhough, most of them own cats and dogs themselves. Their hypocricy knows no bounds.

  • but then these animals would have to fend for themselves in the wild and maybe starve. as pets, they are cared for and fed.

  • An AR once had the audacity to tell me that if I let my horses go free, and they suffered and died because of it, "Well, that would be natural." So I guess it's okay to let our animals die, so long as we don't use any unnatural materials to make their life better. Damn us and our well balanced food and our vet care! Taking proper care of our animals to let them live to their bodies biological old age? That's just cruel. Let horses die at the ripe old age of 6? That's natural.

  • yes, and let them starve to death in the wild and die in agony. yes, thats really cruel.especially for an animal thats defenseless and has many predators.

  • Horses that are afraid of their owners don't walk up to them like these horses do. Anyone who knows the body language of horses can see this.

These horses know and trust their owner.

  • It's pretty obvious these horses love you.

  • Did these horses just go back the next day?

  • No, the horses vacation on the farm for a long period of time. Longer, actually, then they spend in the city. They are rotated from city to farm, so none of them are in the city for too long.

  • Ohh, okay. I just wasn't sure what a 'ride' was. (:

  • They are all beautiful, and obviously happy abd content. Finbar makes me melt. Just gorgeous!~ Thanks for sharing your beautiful horses and Finbars Farm with us :)

  • I like Pink but this campaign makes no sense.

Tourists would not likely want to ride a carriage with a horse that isn't friendly or attractive and abused horses are weary of people, not happy and not healthy.

There's no reason to call for a boycott when the incidents are obviously so remote that they don't reflect the industry as a whole.

They're clearly exaggerating the issue to exaggerate their impact in the media, to solicit donations and support.

  • Pink has allowed her name to be used by PeTA before, in regards to mulesing. later she said PeTA had misled her, and she didn't do enough research.

She's also been know to criticize the wearing of fur, dispite the fact that she wears leather.

  • That's the problem with stars. They're way too busy to do their research but they're eager to get involved in something. So they only access odd bits of information here and there.

They're also way too easily convinced to support groups with ties to their publicists as well. And these groups love getting stars because of their fans.

  • Yes, well said. The sad thing is, with the amount of money Pink has, she could easily open up a sanctuary for old horses that might otherwise go to slaughter. If she really feels she wants to help horses, all she has to do is crack open her wallet, there are plenty of horses being shipped to Canada and Mexico who would be grateful.

If I had her resources, I'd have 50+ horses in a week, LOL How many animals could Pink save with her money? Or Alex f*ing Baldwin?

  • Pardon, that should be 'Alec f*ing Baldwin'

  • You know what's odd ? PETA has no problem accepting William Shatner's support and he owns a horse farm and breeds American Saddlebreds.

  • Money and power buys you all kinds of 'rights' in PeTA.

    Shatner should know better.

  • exactly, a celebrity will do anything for money.

Steve-O was bought by PETA for animal rights, yet I saw him in an episode where he drank a glass full of water with a goldfish in it, and he puked out the goldfish

  • Owning a horse ranch alone shouldn't be a problem.

    But breeding them...that's shitty.

  • Why is breeding horses shitty? Breeding them for a purpose is very different from breeding them to sell. Too many people overbreed their horses without thought of what to do with them if they don't sell. Like dog breeders, there are responsible breeders and irresponsible breeders. If only the responsible breeders were breeding their horses, there would NOT be a horse overpopulation.

  • Responsible or not, should anyone be breeding horses if there is an overpopulation? Why make more?

  • Should anyone be having children, if there's an overpopulation of people? If you're breeding horses and taking responsibility for them, it's very much like having children. If you're breeding 100 a year and selling them for fifty dollars each, you're treating them like a product. You either breed for a purpose (and maybe make a profit), or breed for a profit (and create horses that don't have a purpose). As it is, a lot of breeders are breeding less with this economy.

  • One of my teachers in high school brought that up about dog breeders; if they really take care of them, they don't make a profit.

However, why breed more horses if there are horses to be adopted? After all, horse adoption is less popular.

(I notice you use the word 'purpose.' May I ask why?)

  • 'Purpose' just looked more eloquent than 'job.' All the horses I've ever known were happier with a job, even if the job was just weekend trail rides.

  • Isn't purpose and job a human quality? I don't think we can have the audacity to assign 'purposes' and 'jobs' to animals. They aren't obliged to 'work' for us.

  • A wild animal has a purpose. It's called survival. Domesticated animals don't have the same instincts, but they are intellegent. They need stimulation, and working is good exercise, both physically and mentally. They don't think in terms of being 'enslaved' or any of the other ugly words PeTA and co. like to use. In a herd they have a boss mare who tells them what to do. A rider or driver puts them in a similar situation, and horses appreciate that leadership.

  • I agree that domesticated animals need enrichment, just as any human would. I wouldn't use the term enslaved either. But domesticated doesn't make me feel any better either. 'Wild horses' doesn't sound any less strange than 'wild blue whale' to me. 'Wild' indicates that it would be any different. I don't believe that any other species would 'belong' to ours. What if that type of speech turns into 'A monkey's only purpose is to act in movies.' [cont'd]

  • Well, the 'wild horses' in the US are really just feral horses. They aren't native to this country, they are decendants of Spanish horses brought over by Conquistadors. That's why they are trainable, whereas a zebra isn't. A zebra has no domesticated ancestors. Horses has been domesticated for thousands of years, it's practically written into their DNA. Horses may not 'belong to us,' they belong WITH us, it's a mutual partnership.

  • Every species was wild at some point. There is no getting around it.

I don't see how domestication is an excuse, as I disagree with it. I hope that soon, people will learn that domesticating exotic animals is wrong so that we can put a halt to it. Why domesticate new species when we already overpopulate currently domesticated species? It's so careless.

  • Exotics, yes, horses... NO! Horses living with people have been around for thousands of years. There's evidence of domestic horses dating back somewhere between 3500-4000 BC. To end domestication of horses is to make horses extinct. The mustangs have a lifespan of 5-7 years on average in the wild, while horses owned by people can live to be over 30 easily. In the entire WORLD there is only ONE kind of horse that has never been domesticated, the Przewalski's Horse.

  • My point was...who's to say it's not to happen again? As for horses being domesticated for so long, I don't accept that as an excuse. Nor do I accept the excuse that they have been domesticated period.

  • Your reason for that being?

What should we do then? Geld and euth? Never breed horses? Stop having horses all together? If that is your stance, then we are not going to reach an accord. You will never convince me that it is wrong to have horses, when the greatest pride of my heart is knowing I have earned the love of my horses, and knowing I am giving them the best life they could possibly have.

  • That is not my stance at all.

If it helps, I will try to make things clear.

I am for adoption. I am for spaying and neutering (in the case of horses, this would be when possible). I think it is our duty to control animal overpopulation as best we can. I disagree with domestication, but it's a problem we must maintain and not let it get any further and such is the case with exotic animals.

  • But if you would end all breeding, you would be fazing out a species. By fazing out species, you would be ending a symbiotic relationship that has existed for thousands of years. That does NOT seem right to me.

  • I am not asking for anyone to phase out a species or to completely prohibit all breeding. I think we can all agree that it should be controlled.

  • Of course, that was my point when I said breeding horses should be done by responsible breeders to create a better specimen that has a higher value. If that were the case, and fewer people could afford horses, there would be a major decrease in the number of unwanted horses. Ultimately, horses with jobs are the safe ones. Backyard pets are the ones most often hauled in to rescues.

*Just realized I totally failed spelling the word 'phase' last post. Pardon me, I hate misspelling like that.

  • How can you "disagree" with something that occured NATURALLY, there was no FORETHOUGHT in the evolution of man and animals, what I mean to say is it wasn't a CHOICE.

How would man have traveled, clothed himself ??

What would early man have eaten??

There were no trendy vegetarian deli's back then, no tofu, no soy lattes, no vegan "burgers".

    Your statement makes no sense.

You may as well "disagree" with the sky being blue.

  • Obviously, mankind was at a disadvantage back in those early days... if only Ingrid Newkirk had been around back then to tell us that all that domesticating was wrong. How much better off we would be today... NOT!!

  • "As you trace the footprints of mankind along the long road, rising from barbarism to civilization, you will find the hoofprint sof the horse beside them.

    Thomas Moore.

Your lack of understanding of where you come from and how you got here is very hard to believe.

Mankind does not have to make excuses to one who knows so little.

  • You know, if you think about it, vegans and such are expecting us to abandon all the animals that got us to where we are. It seems more than a little disrespectful to say 'Sorry animals, we've evolved past you, please proceed to p*ss off.'

  • None of these ara ghouls will ever evolve past anything, especially one of our horses!

It's time for us to say, we've heard all the crap we are going to, now f- off

  • KnittyGritty... So you're saying domesticating horses (and oxen and dogs and pigs and chickends) was wrong? You can't condone it in anyway? In other words, CIVILIZATION AS WE KNOW IT is wrong?!

Better give up your car then, because its very width was determined by the widths of carriages. Can't take the train because trains were originally pulled by horses. Gonna have to walk, but be careful, those roads were built by horses.

  • Never mind that human beings might not even exist as we are now if we hadn't domesticated animals. Rome, Eygpt, China, Mayans... ancient civilizations that wouldn't have gotten very far without animal help.

  • [cont'd] We can't say it won't happen either, as we have already seen drastic changes.

  • You do make a good point about adopting. But Shatner, and others, are looking to improve their breeds. To create elite horses that the average asshat backyard breeder CAN'T afford. If horses become more expensive, and return to being a privilage, instead of an easily available commodity, the overpopulation will tapper off, and all horses will benefit from that.

  • I disagree with that type of breeding as well.

If the care and keeping for horses was cheaper (although, I'm assuming it's not terribly expensive as is), then perhaps more people would be more willing to adopt them. Then it's only a matter of their integrity to take care of them well.

  • Yes, but the more people who have horses, the more people breeding horses, the more likely the chance of overpopulation. As it is, keeping horses is EXTREMELY expensive in some parts of the US. Last year, there were places where you had to pay ten dollars per bale of hay, whereas in the past it was more like two dollars a bale.

  • Is there such a thing as spaying and neutering horses...?

Many animal shelters are requiring that the animals are spayed and neuter before they ever leave the shelter.

  • You can geld a colt, but mares are extremely difficult to 'fix.' It's an expensive procedure that a lot of vets don't do because it VERY invasive (horses don't recover as easily as dogs from surgury). I believe there's chemical 'birth control' but it's often ineffective.

  • Perhaps, if there are no health risks, this surgery could be popularized. If one sex is 'fixed,' it will at least decreased for now.

A birth control for horses seems challenging, as far as development goes. After all, we use mare's urine for *our* oral contraceptives. Our knowledge of birth control would be limited, I'd imagine.

  • Believe me, there is a demand for a way to spay mares, if only because some mares are hormonal to the point of being dangerous. But surgery on horses is generally a last resort, because horses can have VERY bad reactions to surgery.

  • And at least here in Indiana, each of our horses goes though 100 bales a year. Last year we paid five dollars per bale, because we have our own field that we got some of the hay from. And we have six horses, so 6X100X5=3000. Plus feed, which I can't figure off the top of my head, plus insurance on the horses and the barn, plus lease of the barn... Plus vet bills, plus farrier bills, wormer... etc.

  • Well said!!

  • They ought to spend their time doing something worthwhile, like finding out what is reality for these horses, the drivers and the owners. More people kill themselves or someone else by the minute, compared to an occasional carriage accident. And I shudder to think about how many innocent children are being abused behind closed doors right this very minute.

    I

Just because one football player is involved in illegal dog fighting, doesn't mean they all are. Lack of research....!~

  • Pride keeps some stars from looking into issues as well. They don't want to look stupid and disappoint the fans that supported something because of them.

And then there's the pettiness in Hollywood. They can make quite a few enemies there if they change their minds. They can be labeled as a backstabber and/or traitor over a change of heart, resulting in closed doors and lost opportunities.

  • So true. I loathe watching them in all their glitz and glitter, acting as "advocates" when their money is going to new cars, multi, multimillion dollar homes, wardrobes that run into the tens of thousands.

All their "advocating" is money and fame related. They might really love animals and all that, but you can be sure that they keep their "friends" in check by doing/ saying almost anything; and at the same time, boosting their pride and filling their pocketbooks.

  • I could hug you, that is it exactly!

If you read books by animal behaviorists, you will find that you can give horses exactly what they need in an unnatural environment. After all, we do for dogs, don't we?

I say you can't take away animals based on the fact that they 'might' be abused unless you also plan to do the thing with all children.

  • Exactly, when these activists see abuse why don't they get one of the many police around the park and make a report?

Why isn'y there a line of people complaining at the aspca car?!?

The ara"s are full of dung!

Animal Rights is an excuse for loons to get together and harass people.

Lying trouble makers, who then cry foul when someone gives them hassle in return.

    Sad, sick attention seekers.

Stop making up lies, if you see abuse call a cop. Stop the hype!

    A**holes

  • Once again the lies of PETArds exposed.

These horses don't need 'saving' from anything. The are thriving, even in the current economy.

When will people wake up and see that peta , the hsus, the aspca, all take the exceptions and make them appear like the rule. They are killers not savers.

Where have all the donations collected recently to try to put this American Iconic Tradition ot of business. Where is all the money that people were duped into sending these Holier than thou orgs!?!?

  • They all look positively miserable! And they clearly hate you, they're standing by the gate to keep you out!

Kidding, of course. I'm also a carriage driver (not in NY), I can't stand the idiots out there... Though here we don't get harassed as much here.

Anyhow, I love the videos. Beautiful bunch you have there.

  • It is as my farrier has told me. Abuse is obvious because you can pretend to love your horses, but they won't pretend to love you back. These horses clearly love their human, horses can't lie.

  • animals always show signs if they're not to fond of that person

  • So true, and that love is positively radient at Finbars Farm. You can see it, how much they love right back!~

  • It's interesting to read testimony from equine experts and vets showing how badly horses are treated by the carriage industry.

Also, most drivers have questionable morals since they "illegally" charge more than what's allowed by law.

Animal rights activists should come up with an alternative form of employment for the drivers while closing down the carriage industry for good.

Or, the industry needs to innovate and use some other form of power instead of horse. That would work very well.

  • Can you quote this "testimony" and why was it not presented to the City Council during the hearings on 1/30/2009 at City Hall?

    Please reply.

By the way the ara's are in no position to do any of what you say. They have no power to shut down MY business, or tell anyone what to do for a living

What planet are you posting from?

  • I was at the hearings, Dr John Lowe, who was the Dean of Cornell University for 25 years testified that he had spent a week at the park ,in the stables and examining each and every horse, his findings were that the horses were in perfect health, one criticisim he made was that some of the larger drafts were overweight.

Also giving testimony at the same hearing was a Mr. Feldman, Chairman of the US Olympic Equine Committe, who stated that the horses were well treated, enjoyed a light work load.

  • I would be interested to see the credentials of the so called 'equine experts' wouldn't you? Because some self proclaimed 'experts' I've met were the same asses who breed their nasty mongrel stud to every mare too broken down to kick him off. Some 'equine experts' I've met were unable to spell 'equine expert.'

  • They had ONE vet testify, and she didnt even show up. She sent a letter to be read. Her name is Holly Cheever, she works alongside PETA on MANY issues, including foie gras. She is an avid animal rights activist who has been proven to lie for her "cause". She is part of the vet group that is againt animal testing for medications (cant remember the name) So, I guess she doesnt use any medications herself or in her practice?! Riiiight. Another whinny hypocrite out for 15 minutes of fame.

  • And how was that letter recieved? Not even bothering to show up to a hearing about carriage horses when she's had so much to say on the subject? Suspicious...

  • These videos must be your therapy as opposed to what someone like me would find therapeutic: Punching a lying piece of crap PETA lunatic square in the face.

One might think "That's what they want you to do." but I'm quite certain the PETA member actually getting there face caved in won't be the one wanting that.

  • Yes , not only are they somewhat theraputic, but they annoy the hell out fo the lying PETArds. Proving them to be liars and hatefilled weirdos.

Having said that I'm in no way adverse to mixing it up with any man/men who come to threaten me or mine.

I have recieved many verbal threats of violence on the street, my obvious willingness to engage these loudmouths makes them tell the rest of their stories walking.

  • I am sure you have heard about the breeder who thought it was an honor that Joe Biden picked them when he bought a new puppy. How wrong where they as they received the wrath of the nutters at PETA who now phone in death threats to their business.

  • I wonder what we will all do when the Fuel runs out, or more likely gets that expensive people cant afford it.

You vegan ARA's just live in dream world.

Thinking you are superior to everybody else, because you don't eat meat and treat animals like they are humans.

Reality check here the days of cheep fuel and cheep food are gone and that includes all food not just meat.

  • not all vegans think they are superior. there are some of us (probably a minority) who can't eat meat for other reasons. I don't live in a dream world. If anything, I try my hardest to find out the truth, the lies, whatever, about everyones point of view. I WISH i had a horse and carriage, because my reality is I can't afford even your basic no frills auto. Which means, unfortunetly, that I can't afford a horse and carriage either :(

  • As I expected, no facts, no quotes, all lies

It's interesting to read you have no proof of your lies, yet you invited yourself to this forum to make the above comment.

You are a liar, and should be ashamed of yourself.

You are atypical of an insigating trouble maker.

A self rightous knownothing parrot repeating the most malicious gossip you can find.

It's people like you that allow discriminaton and hatered to breed, spreading slander and lies

You are what will make this fight easy.

  • The AR's want to stop any relation with animals. They will work on the riding them soon I'm sure! They want to take all our animals and food away from us.The United States Humae Soc is the Group passing all the laws for this.If only people knew the truth where their money went,Its not to help any animals. Its to abolish them from our lives

  • Very true. It's scary to think what would happen if the ARAs were to get what they want.

  • you take very good care guys..your farm is beautiful.just what the doc would order for chilling for the horses and your family

    The barn could use residing!?!

Jeez some people can only see faults!

I think the point of the video is to show the entire farm and horses, to show they are well cared for and get breaks from work

I saw a crooked fence post too, is that a problem!?!

Some people find it hard to make a nice statement, and just leave it at that.

I think the farm the barn, the horses all look fantastic.!

  • Nice Weatherbeetas! Those things are so warm and light. It takes a lot to tear one of those, but it looks like your boys like to play!

  • I thought the same thing! I love weatherbeetas.

  • I would hope, if the "anti-carriage" movement gained any real ground, that the city would take a little pride in such a thing and investigate properly. Sending an equine expert to evaluate the horses could be a hassle, but would go a long way toward eliminating the rumors and lies. It could only be good for builidng your case... though of course these videos go a long way too.

Your barn could use residing, maybe? Probably not necessary. ^_^

  • Thank you for taking the time to see both sides, my other vids show more.

We have to stop the automatic demonisation of people who work with animals. You can read the editorial in the Daily News today, titled "Carriage horses have it Cushy"

Thank you again for your objectivity.

  • If only the stupid ARAs could see how even a retired carriage horse fusses and wants to go to work. Finbar really wanted out! I've seen other retirees not understand why they can't get on the trailer and leave to go work. Very cute ponies and I love your farm!

  • Thank you!

  • Aww, they are all so cute in their blankets. I might blanket ours during the worst winter weather, but they would just chew them off of each other. So ours are wooly, muddy yaks right now.

They all have really sweet faces.

  • "wooly, muddy yaks"

    lol

...and then sheding season comes..oh boy
