This IS an excercise! The song they are attempting to play is off of Chase's 3rd and final album called "Bochawa". A marching band playing this will never sound as good as a full band in a studio. What's with the guy playing the "Dizzy Guillespie horn"?

Yes and No...

They exist, but it depends more on the person playing and how developed their embouchure is. Well, mainly...

Anywho...I own a Kelly Screamer which is about the equivalent of a 13A4a...it isn't really effective, possibly because it is too wide of a rim for my lips...but I guess you could call it a "screamer mouthpiece". Just look up Kelly Mouthpieces on Yahoo.

But I would HIGHLY recommend a Schilke 6A4a...it's just a better mouthpiece overall...and yes, you can "scream" on it.

Screaming is so over rated. I can scream all day and all night...There wasn't much place in this fanfare for screaming. The hidden dimension of screaming is to know when and when not to scream, lol. You don't scream in warm-ups. These guys are playing in good time for the most part...I think that it was good. They are probably warming up at the hotel before boarding the bus for a game or parade. Good job!!

Who warms up to a High D?? If any of you guys have or had ever marched in a real decent college band you'd know there is never a Saturday you went in as a section to get ready without one or two of the leads blowing a Double G somewhere to see if the blood's flowing. Screaming is different. I'm not asking for a Super C and into the stratosphere. But that's the real gag here, that we can tell these guys don't have the chops to go for it which makes them less credible.
