@tulsahouseofnight Yes there are different branches..we call them Traditions. Well different Wiccns may have a different thought about the Afterworld..but most believe in Summerland. Its not the Christian idea of heaven. And we do not have a Christain concept of hell either. This is not a good place to explain our view on Reincarnation...and the Summerland.
Find a beginners book or a teacher..that is the easiest way. Discover if its your path or not.
I guess the same way we do. I don't know for certain that God exists. I have no proof of it, I just feel him being part of my life. At firs I tried to ignore it, but I caught myself praying every time I had a need for support. I pray in Catholic tradition, that doesn't mean there aren't other ways of prayer. I just think that mine is the right one for me.

well, i think for the most part there are several interpretations of peoples who believe in more than one divine entity, mostly all being negative in nature(in the bible). ( there are several quotes in the bible, translated from Hebrew, mashed up and collected (also discarded) by Roman Emperor Constantine, and again gutted by the catholic church, and that's not even the half of it. Of course, it's also a matter of perspective (cont.)

well, i'm not sure what your religion is, but lets just say your a christian. how do you know that your god exists? there is no real, concrete proof of any higher power, except that people believe, and feel connected. i am a wiccan myself, and i used to be a christian. i remember when i used to question peoples beliefs, but in a bad way. when i was first introduced to the gods and godesses after becoming more open minded i felt an instant spiritual connection. its very special.

Hey my good friend, i totally respect that aspect, as if we do good, meaning good deeds, spread truth and love, our loving creator God will reward us, not just in this life with blessing but in eternity after death. I do however have to remind you that all aspect of deity are not the same, some may be fairly similar, but MANY could not be more different. Lets take Satanism for instance, which is a religion. Many Satanists invoke demons and negative entities, even drink animal/human blood!
Perhaps the Gods and Goddess are not all good and loving and not all bad and evil, it just depends on whether you choose to worship the good or the bad sides of them. Satanists choose the left hand path because they are lacking the goodness we have in our lives and Wiccans, Christians, Muslims, etc... worship the good aspects because we DO have that goodness and love in our lives and we want to build on that?! Also, I've never heard about satanists who have started a war. In fact, the first satanists were scientists who had nothing to do with satan, but the church said they had. They see this current life as all there is, and they have to revel in the pleasures and joys of life as they only have 1 shot. Most Satanists don't even believe that Satan exists, but those who do have a theistic worldview do not believe in beings of pure evil, beings of superiority, strength, shadows, darkness, enlightenment yes, but not evil. Satanism/Witchcraft like many other Religions/Beliefs were taken directly from Gods loving word in the bible and have been used responsibly or abused. The truth of Gods word is love, love for our creator and our fellow brothers and sisters, which is meant to be respected as a connection that we can grow in. Spiritism (invoking spirits/cursing/blackmagic) is not how you gain a loving connection with God. We look to God & friends, even within ourselves for assistance, not spirits/magic. GodBless!
It is my and many other Wiccans, belief that; the magic we use comes from within ourselves as much as it does from the Gods/ Goddesses. Therefore we also look to 'God' and ourselves for assistance.
Please do not forget that Paganism, which is where Wicca/ Witchcraft originated from, actually existed a while before Christianity! Religion has evolved as much as society and people have, I think!

Do Wiccans believe in objective morality? I undersand "An it harm none, do what ye will" but in that context are there moral or immoral actions considered absolutely right or absolutely wrong? Wicca from what I understand is transcendental, or supernatural, so the question intrigues me.

@tulsahouseofnight Yes there are different branches..we call them Traditions. Well different Wiccns may have a different thought about the Afterworld..but most believe in Summerland. Its not the Christian idea of heaven. And we do not have a Christain concept of hell either. This is not a good place to explain our view on Reincarnation...and the Summerland.
Find a beginners book or a teacher..that is the easiest way. Discover if its your path or not.

I guess the same way we do. I don't know for certain that God exists. I have no proof of it, I just feel him being part of my life. At firs I tried to ignore it, but I caught myself praying every time I had a need for support. I pray in Catholic tradition, that doesn't mean there aren't other ways of prayer. I just think that mine is the right one for me.

I do not like how christians think that we r evil when we r not. We believe in a god and a goddess. Not into the christian or satanic devil that does not exist. We do not harm people because what we give out comes back times three and harm ye none rule. We heal and help others and believe in the fertility god pan so I do not understand why christians think that we are evil while sleeping with souls. well, i think for the most part there are several interpretations of peoples who believe in more than one divine entity, mostly all being negative in nature(in the bible). ( there are several quotes in the bible, translated from Hebrew, mashed up and collected (also discarded) by Roman Emperor Constantine, and again gutted by the catholic church, and that's not even the half of it. Hey my good friend, i totally respect that aspect, as if we do good, meaning good deeds, spread truth and love, our loving creator God will reward us, not just in this life with blessing but in eternity after death. They see this current life as all there is, and they have to revel in the pleasures and joys of life as they only have 1 shot. we worship nature, but when the christian religion was formed (no offense to anyone here) the two religions split and the christians used their new religion to condemn us, by using our religious symbols as a form of "evil", it was a way to forcefully convert pagans a "join us or die and burn" so to speak, it was partially successful however many witches practiced in secret and the religion has survived and is now once again gaining in numbers.

As disgusting as the pedophilia incident was that was actually not even the worst thing the Catholic church did. If there is a Hell I hope I can go there so I can torture Thomas Moore and the so-called "Saints" Augustine, Chrysisotom, Pope Gregory IX, and the inquisitors. Are you aware that the Vatican had a false sense of entitlement to the New World saying the Natives "owed" the Vatican rent for living on the Vaticans "property" rent free for centuries? It is the Vatican who owes Natives.

Not only is that bigotted against another system of faith, it also shows a tremendous lack of education (Wicca, though in its modern form relatively new, has existed for thousands of years in its original form), and shows a typically blinkered view of the world as if things only happen in and/or for the benefit of America... We have Wicca here in Britain & other parts of the world too... (My fiancee & her mother are Wiccans & if I had to choose a religion to abide by for life I'd choose Wicca)

I have been reading about this, and it sounds seriously interesting: the whole thing about spirituality, magic, rituals, believing in the powers of nature and all that.
But maybe that is more of a fantasy than actual reality?

My girlfriend really got me into this, nad yes, wicca is all about acceptance of all people.She is half Romanian and Dutch, and my mom is white, and my father is black, so that sums it up, wiccans do not judge people by their beliefs or colour, or push our beliefs on people, it is a personal choice, as should be all things in life

You have incredibly missed the mark there star. I do not know one well minded person who hates the germans. It is not the german ppl that are hated today, it is what the german ppl did during the war *who are mostly deceased*, that brings shame apon whomever allowed such atrocities to occur. The hate is directed apon those responsible, not their ancestors.
