@xlurvablemishix umm...about 2 yards maybe? Idk, I don't usually measure...I just kinda eyeball it. When it doubt, though, I'd use more than you think you will need. It's better to waste a little string than to not end up having enough.

@julio2140 double the length of the strings and fold it in half so you tie the loop at the top and it's easier to tie... lol
