This is really cool! My Advanced Theater class has done flash mobs and freezes at our school, I wish I could be one of the dancers in that flash mob!!!!

@Belgarion42Wolf i see what you are talking about. i am kinda new to the whole deaf thing ive only been legally half deaf for 2 years. and dont get me wrong im very proud i fuess you could say for the deaf. i never really thought about how the completly deaf listened to music. actually now that i think of it its kind of amazing what the deaf do that we, or i, never thought they could do.

Some people are so freaking rude. It's DISNEYLAND, anyone can go and anything can happen. Don't be rude. Who cares if it isn't a real flash mob, it's still cool, and it's there for the crowd's entertainment. Don't make such a big deal out of it.

@Belgarion42Wolf im half deaf myself but its the SOUNDSATIONAL parade. deaf people cant hear the music so all they see is a bunch of coreographed dancing... its a buzz kill if you cant tell if their on beat or not

@tippytrain11 That makes sense, though the interpreter was there (I believe) primarily to interpret the speech. However, even if he was there to interpret the words to the song, I fail to grasp how that is different than, for example, an interpreter at a concert.

@tippytrain11 Also, they have the music cranked pretty loud. I know that for many deaf (especially those who are profoundly deaf), they still wouldn't be able to hear it, but I also know (personally) many deaf people who love music and can feel the vibrations, so in many of those cases they would be able to tell.

I thought a flash mob was an UN-predictable moment when a group of people set a time and place to meet, usually in a busy metropolitan center of activity, to break up the mundane flow of life, normally with a pre-rehearsed dance and song. Like in that episode of Law and Order SVU, when Robin Willams' character organized flash mobs to have pillow fights in Times Square and just freeze in Grand Central Station.
