  • ive won in the tournament because of this kick :)

  • I love this Kick

  • This guy would last about 2 seconds in an MMA event.

  • @wordhog61 STFU I do TKD we wont be stupid and fight a style like dat pls nikka tkd will destoy mma dats word 2 everythinq nikka

  • @wordhog61 and you wouldn't last a sec on any martial art.

  • @wordhog61 its nice to c people being creative but keep ur dream world or fantasy world watever ur having to urself buddy alright cause no one cares about ur damn fantasy world

  • hahaha jarval0406 has closed his account because of too much embarassment. damn funny.

  • are u supposed to kick the head or the chestguard cuz i keep kicking the head

  • @Richunite34 Kicking to the head is fine if you can do it accurately. The chest is obviously a bigger target and easier for most people to hit.

  • I can see how easy he kicked that difficult kick! That kick is especially designed for ITF 4th degree...

  • seems easy... its hard

  • The other night my brother told me how he used this kick in self defense against this random asshole who attacked hm and his friends in a park. He got angry and used this kick and knocked the wind out of this guy. After the kick he apologized and the people watching were amazed.

  • "jarval0406"

do you really belief, after doing 18 years of tkd you know everything ??? if you do, you never would disgrace yourself in your writing fashion, never ever !!! x you are very angry man and not a martial artist who recognise the philosophy of tkd x

  • seriously.. if you want to be good in fighting, you just need to join kyokushin... every aspect in kyokushin is just about to give you the strength

  • To all you people saying TKD does not work on the street, you are ignorant. You come online and watch videos of TOURNAMENT style TKD and say it won't work. Well obviously, this is meant for tournament, not a self defense situation. I am a 2nd dan black belt in TKD and I know personally that there is a strong self defense aspect to it that you don't see online because it isn't as entertaining to watch.

  • @ResidentBiscuit i agree

  • @ResidentBiscuit Your 100% right, i'm a first dg black belt in tae kwon do, and a big part of it all was self defense. You will be perfectly fine on the street.

  • @ResidentBiscuit I'm from LBC CA, hold a dan in tkd and other arts and tkd kicks work period. Most street guys are untrained and totally unprepared for a full speed full powered kick delivered with bad intentions.I've crushed MANY people on the street with A SINGLE BODY LEG OR HEAD KICK.If you think a sucker PUNCH hurts? Wait til you see a sucker KICK.So go ahead and say tkd doesn't work, then watch Anderson Silva and pro TKD guys kick world class athletes into oblivion, while we tell you:"TOLDJA"

  • @ATACXGYM Uh I dont think I was saying tkd doesnt work on the street was i? Idk if you meant to come off as argumentative but you did :/

  • @ResidentBiscuit I apologize you are correct Iwas looking at another poster's comment that seemed to denigrate TKD and I accidentally responded to yours. Please forgive the error.

  • one of the best kicks ill say you can push them if blocked or if they dident block good follow up combo attack also good ko if u see he could hit in the face if wanted to good kick one of my favorite

  • @FOXHOUNDSHADE I've done this MANY TIMES at The Long Beach Kickboxing Academy on Anaheim.I'd be boxing, slip a combo, enter the MT clinch, knee and stuff, then push the guy off and fire a round kick spin kick or push kick round kick 540 (usually to the body) or push kick jump back kick with DEVASTATING results.I have a clip on my DETHSTRYQUE account of me taking it easy on a kickboxing guy in a light sparring session but I jump back kick him TWICE.Either one would have KO'd him were we going4real.

  • this technique is all about reaction time.

  • Pretty standard counter kick. This demo is for beginners.

  • how many of you are black belts in a tkd system or any martial arts ? if not dont comment

  • @lvato oh sup i got my 1st dan in karate and got my red belt in tkd working on my kung fu now

  • @TheGunsboss I think you're talking way too much and not even have been in martial arts long enough to give your opinion. How long 3-4-5 years?.......?

  • @lvato I have a 5th degree and I practiced tkd, kick boxing, hard style karate, kungfu, wushu, at least 100 street fight, 18 years inside the martial arts

  • tae kwon do does not Work on the street... and I can and I can prove it .... is mierda!

  • @jarval0406 maybe that's because it's not made to work on street.

  • @jarval0406 It depends on how well you work your tkd on the streets, I use my tkd skills for self-defence and i'm good at it

  • @jarval0406 your an idiot any martial art works on the street you just have to learn all the way to black belt otherwise the style isint fully effecting i know this from experience

  • @TheGunsboss fuck you! you have no idea what is martial arts, of course it works, but with foolish people, the tae kwon do have way too many mistakes, and makes it the worst style, I have studied various styles including this one, and kicks are amazing I love those kick and I also practice, but that does not mean that style is good for fighting in the streets, I have dedicated my life to martial arts, and as I told you I can prove it,

  • @jarval0406 fighting in the streets isn't what a real martial artist should do. they also shouldn't look down on other martial arts.

  • @jarval0406 what style of karate ? and what style of tkd did you study ?

a true martial artist will never put any other martial artist or style down , you are right to a certain extent ,olympic style or sport tae-kwon-do does not work in the street .

  • @jarval0406 then try me out ;) and then you will change you're mind

  • @Taekwondoinmyblood jejej less than 5 years in tae kown do and your talking shit...? I have 18 year in martial arts.... there's nothing you can show me! lmao

  • @jarval0406 You're not a martial artist, you're a fat troll. Booooooo the troll!

  • @jarval0406 you fail on every level of martial arts, your mind is not ready to even begin a martial art.

  • i wish that guy would demonstrate the full force of the kick, the attacker would go flying!

  • choreographed.

  • that kick is for defensive....watch best of the best one. day hun and tommy lee.

  • @jroshia

    best movie ever.

  • You should never be thinking of spinning when backkicking. TURNING. Straighten your leg back as far as you can. and push away the target. Often used when countering for example pit-chagis. which is a combo of dollyo and ap chagi.

  • @emilandersson91 you have obviously never sparred

  • dont worry 2 much bout trying to look at the target once you learn to tuck that knee up and keep your kicking leg in close almost rubbing against the opposite thigh you wont miss. remembering its a defensive kick

  • never let your opponent off your sight for a second this is the moment where you are vulnerable & loose points

  • he should show them to look at his target too when performing the back kick - it would help them to maintain a better balance.

  • This is primarily a counter-attack.

  • i do taekwondo and in my expierence (for u who do not no back kicks very well)a jumping back kick is not a offensive kick at all,if u try it u will fail,a jumping back kick is defensive kick, but u have watch his movments and decide when he is coming in then unload that kick right to his stomach, ribs, kidneys,or the head(which i do not recomend. Any quistins just ask me on my utube

  • well it can be used in offensive combination with other things I often use it with punches and a light round house kick

  • the compact part of the kick is the most important!

  • try to point ur knee to the ground, seems like ur turning to much.

  • when i do back kick , i tend to not go straight in one line back , but i end up kicking to the side and not the back , u understand ? i like miss with a few Cm every time , dunno what i'm doing wrong though ,i keep on training for that kick, like , jump, pull knee in and stretch it , but it goes to the left or right , nog the center , lol sorry so badly explained , dunno how to,oh yeah , guess i'll just keep training , practise makes perfect

  • 1. Stand in side-way stance before you kick(legs parallel to each other)

    2. before attacking, have your head facing side ways from your opponent, looking at him/her from the side of your eye(this allows you to turn your head LESS when you go for the spin kick.)

    3. This is most important, really concentrate and aim for the target BEFORE you start spinning, and just try to catch the target with the side of your eye after the spin right as you kick.

These things seem to help my students. Good luck!

  • try to spin a bit more and for the start just imitate the hit,do it;s pulse if you get what i mean!!half move then slowly straight your leg!!that helped me!!

  • @LillBG Master Kim posted a video reply to your question - check this page for the link

  • twip chagy

  • i have use it when im in high school when one of my classmate bullying me... hehe fall on his kneew and grasping for air... then we became friends...

  • And then he was like "someday, I'll fight in the Kumite and make my father proud", but then he died and his grief stricken father no longer wanted to train you, but you convinced him to train you despite your bad hair, and in the end the Black Dragon society awarded you with a samurai sword for defeating that cheating bastard Bolo in the finals.

  • This is one of the kicks that work in real life.

  • NOT TRUE. I have a black belt in TKD and it would actually be one of the ones that you would WANT to use in real life!

  • whoahh that was niceee he's so good! Wish my kicks did that much damage

  • lol you'll get there trust me when i was younger never thought i would ever be able to get it right but i did a perfect form and knocked the guy flying i was too happy to care about him till i calmed down and realised we were still sparring lawl

  • you won?

  • lol wtf is this kid talkin about winning a belt?!?

  • i think he/she meant they beat a black belt with that kick..... it is a good sneaky surprise kick

  • lol kid, stop lieing, u cant "win" a black belt.

    idiot.

  • my favorite counter kick

  • This move is fun to use, especally since it allows you to back side kick immediately after. Or you can walk away.

I was once in a battle, in Middle School, and I used this myself.

  • a battle? what time period do u live in? lol.

  • ahahaa "battle"

  • LOOOLLL hahahahahaha!! i lol'ed in real life from that comment XD

  • That's Chuck Liddell's favorite kick!

  • lol chuck liddel has nothing to do with taekwondo. he has trained kick boxing, wrestling and karate, if im right

  • its not exclusive to taekwondo dumbass.

  • you should watch serkan yilmaz then

  • agreed too. jump back kick is great for counters. attacking with it can leave room for ur opponenet to counter u whiile ur spinning.

  • Its true, you have to use it wisely.

I use it to counter, usually a kick attack or as part of a combo.

  • Kim is so great at his age I bet he can still hang with the best in his weight.

  • I always found the back kick to be a better counter (as shown in this video) than an offense as so many people try to use it.

  • agreed

  • definitely. your opponent has too much time to react if you use the back kick for offense

  • i was sparring with a friend this morning, in taekwondo.

And the teh exact same thing happened to me. he did a round house with his right leg, adn i instantly did a kick back kick with my right leg. and i accidentally hit him in the balls.

    he was annoyed......

  • Mine is a little worse. I did a choping kick and got a back kick in my balls. My chop was a very straight chop. So, never kick ABOVE belt level during STREET FIGHTS.

  • well i would be too!
