I think you should try re-jetting, and also, when was the last time you checked valve clearance? If you ride that bike hard, you should do it ever 3000 miles.
looks like a nice ride. how much practicedo you think one needs before upgrading to a CBR600 or ZX-6? I'm asking because eventhough the new look is a definate improvement, the CBR and ZX looks very sexy and honestly that is the main reason i don't want a ninja 250...looks.
If you're riding motorcycles primarily because of how they look, my opinion is you should stick to cars...seriously.
That said, I can't begin to answer your question because you don't give me much info about what you're practicing on or how much experience you've had. 600cc sportbikes are designed to win races at very high levels of competition. They are not beginner friendly. The Ninja 250 is. Ask yourself: are you an expert rider? If you can't say "yes" without hesitation, you'r e not ready.
great video mate... I am really looking forward to get one of this preety soon and this kind of video is awesome in the decision process... ths!
PS: U absolutely destroyed the user "ten8goa"...fucking bastard, knows nothing about streetbike's culture and this particular model... no wonder this is the Kawa's best seller bike around the world...PEACE!
The point is that it's suitable for new riders, racers, and anyone else who wants less weight and a pricetag that's less than 1/2 of a 600. Experienced and mature riders understand this. Motorcycling isn't like car culture, where having the coolest, most expensive thing elevates your status. Motorcycling is about building skills and enjoying the experience, and having more power doesn't always translate into a better experience. Learn to ride and you will get it someday.
This Ninja bike is different to what i've got, probably one of modifications. I've got engine temperature gauge instead of fuel one and fuel injection system that wreck my head. After first wash computer started to make noise and was problems with start until it dry out. I wander if there is difference in power delivery
Yes, the USA model is carbureted, which makes it a little slower, but it's also $500 less. It sounds like you have a defective CDI or ECU. That should be a warranty fix.
You are a very dense person. What part of "Professional journalists used a radar gun to verify top speed" don't you understand? Even if you saw 110 on your speedo flat-out, downhill with a windstorm at your back, it doesn't mean you were really going 110 mph. Indicated speed and actual top speed are different.
i went to all the dealers in central jersey and nobody has this bike....they got the ex250 in gay blue..where can i my hands on the green or red bike?????? please help...
The '09 models are on the way in, I think. This bike has been so hot to sell from what I hear that it's really not surprising a lot of places don't have them in stock. I think the EX250 is the '07 model, so you'll probably want to wait for a new shipment of '08s or '09s, as the design is really new and improved on the '08. The '09 is supposed to cost $500 more and be available in a new ebony color. Can't say I'd be excited about that... I want green too. :)
i got one last weekend.. it's fun.. trying to keep it below 6k RPM (a little higher than the 4k recommended, but it's hard to keep it that low). anyone else think the engine sounds like it's gonna explode when you rev it high?
Not really... Cbt is just basic training allowing you to ride a bike up to 125cc with L plates. If I read correct, this bike is just under 33Bhp so if you passed with a A2 licence you can ride this without any restriction. After 2 years you can ride any bike...I hope to get mine soon ! Good Luck!
if he knew he would have replied. he was just talking about how they revamped the bike. the guy didnt know what the he was saying but his job was to relay information to the viewers, not to claim to be the guy that designed it. at least he is honest.
I would cosider this bike as a commuter and a fun city bike. The Yoshi pipe looks great but the pipe prices would buy a lot of gas!Id wait to buy a pipe used when a newbie wrecks!
ya, yall will do fine. I would say up to 250lbs. I rode on the highway with a girl on the back, runs like a champion. just make sure the tires are good pressure...
hey im thinking about gettin this bike im 5'10 160lb can i ride with somebody on the back at like 125lb? will it look weird because of its seize and be hard on the bike? thx man

You could spend $3000 and get 5 more horsepower: porting, blue-printing, knife-edging, all the usual tuning tricks. But why would you do that?

Too small. No power. Like a 6 cylinder Mustang. Looks like a Ninja but has no performance. What's the point? Get a 600,

95 stock? That means it can barely keep up with traffic. 4,500 - 5,000 for a rocket isn't bad though.

I wish the solo seat cowl fit better. It's not snug and sleek like some other models. Wish they gave it more effort.
