@CleaverinaCAT I won't, I promise. I have never deleted any of 55lincoln videos. This one is a favorite of mine so it stays. Thanks for enjoying this VW camper.
@4002denise I saw this recently at a car show and believe the owner still has possession of it. I know, you, me, and a lot of others want this. I can see myself camping in the great outdoors with this and sure you can too. Thanks for enjoying.
A blast from the Gas Crisis! I remember these along highways in lines (long lines), waiting for gas pumps. They used to call them Busses and the ones without windows were called Panelwagons (-trucks). The spare tires rarely ever had their covers. You got this'n fixed up nice. Thanks for the memories.
@richardelam100 This is a blast from the past. And they did call them buses. Too bad this isn't mine because I would enjoy camping in this at the Smoky Mountains. By the way, Jesus is already here. Thanks Richard for enjoying this VW bus/camper.
@richardelam100 Strange winter weather everywhere, including here in Missouri. Temps in the teens, the next day temps in the 60's. Maybe I'll camp on high ground! Thanks again and still praying brother.
@55lincoln I have a pen-pal in West Virginia who reports the same kind of weather pattern for this winter: below freezing one day, hot the next. I can remember rainy winters here about 12 or 15 years back; we retain cold temps, just no frozen ground. I think we actually got some tiny snowflakes in the air the other day, but it didn't stick.
@uRabbit I don't know of any more details on this VW van but I can tell you that the color is Viper Green. I luv this van also, makes me want to camp out again only in this. Wouldn't that be fun? Thanks for enjoying.
Nice video man! Last year i am making my van too and i would like to buy the same canopy mechanism that you have. Can you send me any link about where i can find it or how it's called and where to search for?Thank you.
@gale5ole I wish this VW camper was mine, but sorry it is not. But try hemmings motor news online under VW parts, or search the internet for the canopy mechanism you want. Hope this helps.
wow! just wow. I had the EXACT same van in Europe when I was stationed there in the 80's. It was a 1974, but colors, interior, man...it was all the same. We used to travel all OVER in that thing...every weekend another country, another adventure.
The cost for me to bring it back to the states was too much to convert it to US standards (or so I thought back then!) Man, sure wish I had it now. lol
@aamguy WOW! What a coincidence! Exactly everything. If I could, I would have traveled Europe in this VW van. What an experience! You are another viewer who has stated " I wish I still had this car or had that truck ". I do too. We all have some fun times and memories connected to a certain vehicle. Isn't that kinda sad? Man, thanks so much for sharing an extraordinary memory and glad you got to see this exactly like your memory.
@whitesoxfanforsure This IS awesome. I could live in this for a long time. If this bad economy continues maybe we should find campers, if there are any out there, and live in these. Beats living in tents and cardboard homeless shelters. Thanks for enjoying this jewel.
Heck yea there is a place in Lexington KY that restores these babies, I have seen a few on the lot. I just started a job and I am have my sights on them. I want one so bad....
@NinjaProductions1998 Sorry, this not my VW camper. I videotape various cars and trucks and post them on UTube. I don't personnaly know the owner but saw him and this camper in July so he still owns it. Thanks for the inquiry.
@gordz859 I always did like these vans. Especially the bus type steering wheel. I bet yours is a joy to own and drive. Thanks for enjoying this video.

@redcheeks1025 Here is a rare vehicle in excellent factory condition. I think the selling price from the owner would be at least $ 30,000.

Add some solar panels and a decent bug deturrant sceen and you could be very comfortable with a car like that for a long time.
