  • found this very helpful, thanks

  • this is not god at all, but is fine

  • this good

  • okay so you lost me after 3:30but thanks anyways!

  • I like this tutorial better than the other ones I've seen on youtube. It's easy to fallow. The lighting is good enough that I can see your strumming and fingering perfectly and it's helped me immensely to perfect this song! Thank you :D

  • hey what tuning is this? i am assuming standard.

  • he is confusing mee.......

  • hello, are you using any efect?

  • merci !!!!!!!! n_n !!!!

  • radioheed good banng so

  • Comment removed

  • Too bad you are using the wrong chords. Try the following for the opening riff/verses.

    Am, D/F#, Em, F#/Em, G,

    Am. F (mute low F), E (major NOT minor), F#/E, G,

The rest is a little off but will work.

  • como ecualizo el ampli?

  • @CheckThisSaw jajaja

  • Karma police, arrest Expert Village they talk in shits..

  • What pickus?

  • this reminds me of 'knockin on heavens door' by...well whoever you heard it by..

  • great teacher. thank you!

  • i learned d over f sharp as you put your first finger on E on the 2nd fret and my second finger on G of the 2nd fret and my thrid finger on B on the 3rd fret.... is that right?

  • @liveright5 If it sounds right then it is right.... Thom and co improvise strumming and accenting when they play live, so just play what sounds good :)

  • Gracias capo!!!! saludos desde argentina!!!!

  • thank you for teach, I love this song.

  • why cant anyone do slow motion video tutorials.

  • rated 1/5 accidentely omg i'm sorry

  • @theforbiddentape You can change it

  • thank you man !

  • This is a PERFECT beginner song. Learn the chords, switch between ordinary chords and powder chords. Takes time but you end up learning a lot. And of course the song is amazing.

  • NICE !!! :)

  • I play a G with my 1st, 2nd and 3d finger

  • @DmnEPI

    and it's correct.

  • Thank you very much!

  • you are amazing! i want your babies!

  • great guitar lesson but the D/F#, G/F# and C/B are different to what ive learnt of the internet. but the internet isnt always right. so thanx for the lesson.

  • I've never seen anybody play an open G chord like that. And I don't see why you would.

  • if you are refering to him using his pinky on the first string?? lots of people do that, it is handy so you can use your ring finger on the 2nd string and make a slightly altered G for variation. (heck im no guitar pro, perhaps that isnt even what you're talking about) but people play the way they play.

  • I play it that way too, makes it easier to switch to some chords, harder to other, its good to know both ways.

  • how the fuck do you play it then, considering he's playing it correctly

  • Well, I'm not saying he's wrong, just different and weird. The only 3 ways I've seen are with the 1st, 2nd, and 3 fingers, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers, or the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers. I've never seen anybody play it with the 1st, 2nd, and 4th fingers.

  • whatever floats your boat

  • That's actually how everyone plays an open G chord. Sorry to break the bad news to you.

  • Everyone plays it with their 1st, 2nd, and 4th fingers? I don't think so. They play the same notes, yeah, but not with the same fingers.

  • Generally, I use my 3rd finger to play the D on the b string but if for some reason I didn't want to play that note, and would prefer the open b, I would leave my 4th finger on the G and lift my 3rd finger, as he has here. Maybe it's not everybody. Maybe it's just me and this guy.

  • i doesn'y matter how you play G, You can play with both E strings on third fret (muting A String)

  • thanks!

  • This is what you get...

    When you meeeeeess with chords...

  • i lol'd

  • DUDE U MADE MY DAY! :dddd

  • @blazor705 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @blazor705 WOOOOOOOAAAAA! that's wat you get when you meeeeess with chords , WOOOOOOOAAAAAH!!! and that's what you get when you meeeeeess with chords wooooooooaoaah! ,

  • This is completly different (but more acurate) than the version I learnt

  • Please tune your guitar mate!

  • How bout you all stfu. Seriously.. He took time to at least make this video. If you dont like his free tutorials then fuck off!

  • very wrong chorus, but i'll hold onto that verse. thanks.

  • How about you all stop complaining.

I dont see you spending your time posting a video on how to play this and i doubt you're anywhere near as good, so who are any of you to criticise? STFU!

    Very helpful video btw (:

  • for a minute you lost your chords you lost your chords..

    try to sing it..

    thums down

  • The chorus is very wrong. It goes C, D, G, F#. Not whatever the hell you were playing.

    The verse is perfect though.

  • thanks alot My friend you help me

    Jonathan from Chile

  • jonny plays piano man!

    good vid though

  • but i dont want people to like me more, i just want them to suck my genitals :'c that made me laugh out loud

  • I think it's good that he explains the chords and stuff. I just had my first guitar lesson last week and was pleasantly surprised at how much I already knew and was familiar with because I had heard it or read it somewhere in a guitarworld mag or whatever, even tho at the time of reading I didn't quite know what it meant.

  • thx bro, learnt it pretty easily thx to u,

  • agreed.

  • the people that need to watch this are beginners, that's why it should just be "put your finger here". i agree with learning the names of chords if you want to be serious about playing though.

  • Please keep your bad habits and ignorance to yourself.

  • I've just recently started on guitar, and this was really helpful. Thanks!

  • PISS!!

  • why?

  • thanks prof!

  • dont cry about it

  • i think he was showing how to stum on the left and then the chords on the right :)

  • me aburriste dolape jeropa!

  • Someone needs to tell this guy that chokers are for girls.

  • Not bad man. Stop being coy.

  • exelent men!!

    thank you :D

  • Good lesson,,,, But! try Amadd9 at 2:23! subtle but you will notice the difference! the Am before the D is the same too!

  • wow!!!! thank you so much!!! you´re really doing a great job! very, very helpful!

ans yeahhhh!!! give us more, pleaaaaaasssssss

  • thanks it was really helpful

  • tnx a lot!!!

    very god!!!

    master!!!

  • thank you. I'm pretty much a beginner and you helped alot with the riff, and timing, chords. Good lesson.

  • Dude, awesome lesson, I will watch more! Also, odd question. How did you have two camera angles and have the brick pattern in the background match perfectly? Was it coincidence?

  • pretty sure that background is computerized and not real

  • that guitar sounds good

  • So... trying to play through the song.. and like many others I simply can't. Maybe someone here knows some advice for me: My ring finger simply cannot bend at the last... bendy thing. I'm not sure if it's a tendon (probably) or what... so... there are a lot of chords I can't play. Anyone know of a way around this?

  • Thanks a lot, you're a superman ! It's my first song on the guitar give us more !!!

  • that annoys me so much
