  • I still miss Harvey Korman.

  • I was honored to have met Isaac Hayes when he came to talk to a college class. He was a class act and it's a shame he's gone. Bernie Mac lived by me but never met him.

  • 2:28

  • Typical Hollywood libs to not clap when Charlton Heston, CHARLTON FUCKING HESTON was on screen.

  • i heart alice ghostly aka bernice from designing women, and estelle getty aka sophia from golden girls. RIP to them both!

  • Estelle Getty!

  • What about Michelle Thomas ?

  • Nobody clapped for Bozo the Clown, Harvey Korman, or Estelle Getty? Yet they did for George Carlin. Stupid Hollywood liberals.

  • @TheDunderMuffin

Carlin, to me, wasn't actually liberal. He'd rip the shit out of everyone. Sure you've seen his routines on hippies saving the planet, etc.

  • Nobody clapped for Bozo the clown or Estelle Getty? Stupid Hollywood liberals.

  • Chef died :(

  • how come noone clapped for Charlton Heston??

  • @Anaksunamen999

Because he was a known conservative and most of Hollywood is liberal. Actually they didn't clap a whole lot, except for Syndey Pollack and Bernia Mac.

  • i still cant believe bernie mac is dead, he was so funny

  • lol WTF.......Bernie Mac is the only one the audience fucking clapped for

  • Most of the time whoever picks the clips doesn't do a good job, you can't say this about this video because each one is great. My favorite was Cyd Charisse.

  • why is George Carlin in there twice?

  • @ghettodoghammer That's a flippin' good question.

  • @ghettodoghammer That's a flippin' good question.

  • Carlin...

  • Vampira got snubbed for this, thankfully the Oscars made it up.

  • where is heath legder?

  • @virginiaaa2525 this if for the emmys which is like the oscars for television, not movies.

  • @rockergirl83 aah ok!

    thakss!

  • Its interesting that the emmys also include stars from the movies while the academy snubs stars that they claim were only TV stars. There is always someone who is forgotten to be mentioned in all these memoriams, but if they are remembered and loved in the hearts of their fans then they will not be forgotten and that is more of a tribute to them than these memoriams are.

  • if only THIS countdown included keith olberman

  • Does anybody know the name of the song played on piano in the background?

  • Whiter shade of pale

  • @zorrro123456 its Always On My Mind....old song by Willie Nelson.... I dont know how to find this instrumental version of it. you?

  • @chrismaguiredmd this is actually "A Whiter Shade of Pale"....i know i'm crazy late to reply but that's what the song is...

  • @zorrro123456 "A Whiter Shade of Pale"

  • I really miss Sydney Pollack - he was amazing in Will & Grace and was a brilliant director/actor. RIP Sydney!!!!

  • great episode on the sopranos too

  • Sorry guys for my last comment, I posted it before I finished seeing the whole vid.

  • Why didn't they use a clip of George Carlin when he was older. I mean, that's when we most remember him. I dunno, the clip the used made it seem like George Carlin was some Old time forgotten comedian.

  • RIP Joey Bishop, Larry Harmon, Estelle Getty, Bernie Mac, Jim McKay, TIm Russert, Isaac Hayes, and George Carlin. Why is it that every year we lose more good celebrities??????? I don't get it.

  • Cause people die? I hate to break it you ya, but every year we lose a lot of great people....and it's gonna keep going.

  • Excuse me! But if yuo haven't noticed, I think I have noticed more of a pattern while watching more of the other "In memoriam segments such as the ones from the academy awards and the TMC remembers segments. If you could, watch those and then tell me what you think.

  • I still think people die? There are approximately 1.8 deaths every second, they're bound to be famous every now and then.

  • heath ledger, wherever you are, R.I.P.

  • Umm.. Heath Ledger ? Why isn't he in this ?

  • He did little TV work, at least in the US.

  • I think the tribute was mainly for people involved in television.

  • I know everyone is intitled to their own opinion but in this case..... Fuck you. Gorge Carlin was a great comedian and sure his mind was twisted and he swore a lot but at the same time he had a unique view on the world and said thing that a lot of us think but don't. I loved his stuff.

  • R.I.P. BERNIE MAC

  • Comment removed

  • um paul newman???

  • died 2 weeks after this aired

  • oh i didn't read the side note of when it aired. sorry! :) but sad

  • No problem mistakes happen

  • Caelin looks so different without his beard, let me also add that I am so glad they included Ivan Dixon. He definitely deserved it!

  • George Carlin deserved to be mentioned twice.

    That man is unforgettable.

  • R.I.P to all of them, but I'm going to miss Carlin the most.

  • Especially gonna miss estelle getty and deborah kerr both great actresses. RIP

  • what music is this?

  • yeah why the fuck wasn't don s davis shown he died 29 june 2008. he should have been shown.

  • Not only was George Carlin mentioned twice, but Don S Davis wasnt mentioned at all :(

  • Why was George Carlin mentioned twice? RIP to all of the celebrities. U will be missed.
