i think that she has potential, but her voice is really shaky and she has no evident control over her high notes. she'll need better counseling if she's to make it far.

@kim22341 Probably this was posted with the other video. This was Aria's natural voice before training, after learning the songs and a souvenir of her first public performance. She's 17 now with a wonderfully matured sound. Visit at ariatesolin(dot)com

@operaqt I saw your page...it's really nice! She does sound much more mature, but she sounds more leaning towards pop rather than opera, so in my opinion, I wouldn't call her MUCH of an opera singer anymore. But it's not necessarily a bad thing, beause she has a beautiful pop voice; very gentle and soothing, but with a sense of control and flair!

@kim22341 Thanks. She will talk with you directly on FB. She studies exclusively opera and trains with a professional opera coach, who is coaching performing opera singers. That said, her own songwriting is not opera, but more like new classics. Did you see her video pop or opera singer? You should!

@ISGfritz completely different style than Jackie. Jackie's voice and technique are great. Aria's voice is much more dramatic and she is 2 years younger here singing longer and more difficult repertoire.

i think it's always hard to judge with youngsters singing opera style, because it's so easy for anyone with a mediocre voice to put in the 'turns' and just go for it - heck, any of us when we're drunk can do a pretty good take on opera style singing.

BUT as she's got so much coverage, i'm intrigued to go and check her out singing other styles of music...

Good on this little girl for having the guts to get up there and sing! However I think there is need for concern here. I've heard plenty of kids who can sing like this. It isn't a big voice (she's using a microphone for a start) and she is just manipulating vowels to make them sound operatic. Even I did that for fun when I was little. I just hope that this video doesn't suggest she has people pushing her to sing things her little voice isn't ready for because she could do permanement damage.
