  • Berkeley AKA "street legal gocart"

  • Such a shame it was destroyed in a fire!!

  • how tall are you? im thinking of buying one, and im like 6.3 and weght about 280lbs...

i might need a bigger engine

  • damn cool. i'd like to make a mini resto mod out of one with a modern bike engine.

  • i wanttttt

  • drove these when i was 17 ( 40 years ago ) great cars but you have to push them hard to get anywhere. I had a B95 too, very fast, not like the Excelsiors !

  • How come you didn't let the older guy drive it? You just made him push you. Stingy feller ain' ya?

    Coool car!!

  • 500 tripple in 59 nothings new eh Kawasaki!

  • Not Spam I promise! There is a forum for these cars started not that long ago, hopefully a few more members and we will have a thriving little community going. berkeleycars.50.forumer.com

  • przejechał się i cieszy morde

    żal...

  • LOL! So... if it rains, do you reach over the windshield with a squeegee? You'll probably get more push if you swap in a mower engine... Say, a 5hp Briggs & Stratton with a Comet clutch should get it going real nice... Hole-in-the-floor reverse... Hoowee! One Scream'n Demon! You could even drive it all the way to your favorite fishing hole... if it's in your back yard!

  • ITS LIKE A LITTLE COBRA!!!!!!

  • hahahaha....ho needs a towtruck...awesome little car

  • Looks like if you slammed on the brakes it would chop the top of your head off.

  • I hope you've finished it. It looks almost like a miniature Cobra from the side.

  • This would certainly be an answer to global pollution and gas consumption. The question is how would you keep it? Four men could pick it up and put it in the back of a truck. I once owned a '63 MG Midget. It was stolen in 1965 and I never saw it again. While I had it, it was the most fun car I ever drove.

  • @applet93 how old are you?

  • No need for reverse, just pick it up and turn it around! LOL!

  • this is cool..... for sale?

  • la joya de la corona british

    saludos desde argentina

  • My best friend bought 2 in 1970 for $500. 1 for parts and 1 in near mint condition--a lot of fun and sounds cool too-both were the 2 cylinder excelsior powered--we were 16 at the time and within a year both cars were in a corner of the garage----our interest shifted to a Alfa Sprint Veloce Special--ex-factory racer-plexi windows and aluminum doors- trunk-hood,thats the car that taught us all the value of money---and patience ,waiting for the Pope to bless the parts :):):)

  • This would be perfect for me xD

    You guys are cool!

  • Awesome car, this is the 1st time I ever heard of a Berkeley.

  • nice man, love the wheels

i see and hear that you are american, and there is a mini cooper,

didnt knew they where sold in the US, i thought only in cannada.

    ive got 2 myself

  • The Mini belongs to the owner of the Berkeley. He is the original owner, purchased in Oregon, I believe.

  • Is this the three cylinder model? It sounds like its not runing on all 3 (?).

A exelent little car, unfortunatly I can't find one at a price I can afford:-(

  • It is the 492 three cylinder. It was running, but not very well. Essentially in "as found" conditions. It has since been rebuilt with new lower chamber seals. Runs smoothly now.

  • mooi dat dit bewaard is gebleven.

  • Love it!

  • Its like a Cobra only 300 less horse power and about 15x more fuel efficient!

  • Wow. nice job guys. Do you have any information about any online forums or owners clubs to where I could find any more detail? thanks.
