Though there is still some debate on the dates of when the gospels were written, they were most assuredly completed before the close of the first century and written by eyewitnesses or under the direction of eyewitnesses.
Define "completed". "Complete" could have been a much shittier version that was upgraded a lot in the century after. If you check out the Codex Sinaiticus, you find a huge difference in the Bible we have now and the one they had in 4th century. It's really hard to get original manuscripts. We only find fragments. Most of the stuff we have comes centuries after, and there isn't a lot of fidelity. There are more contradictions in findings than there are words.
Also, no, there is no proof the Gospels were written by eyewitnesses. Likely the first one, Mark, is a work of fiction, and the next two (Luke and Matthew) were just edited versions of the first. The supposed authors likely do not exist, since the names were added on only in the late second century.
And we can see how one version evolved into the other by comparing parallel passages and stories. So it stands naked as a work of edited fiction.

There are truly too many people reading the bible that shouldnt. God said spiritual things(the bible) you will not understand unless the Holy spirit is in you. If you are not a follower of Jesus you will not have His spirit to give you the full truth of scripture. You will get it wrong and be tempted to doubt like so many do.

Though there is still some debate on the dates of when the gospels were written, they were most assuredly completed before the close of the first century and written by eyewitnesses or under the direction of eyewitnesses.

Define "completed". "Complete" could have been a much shittier version that was upgraded a lot in the century after. If you check out the Codex Sinaiticus, you find a huge difference in the Bible we have now and the one they had in 4th century. It's really hard to get original manuscripts. We only find fragments. Most of the stuff we have comes centuries after, and there isn't a lot of fidelity. There are more contradictions in findings than there are words.

Also, no, there is no proof the Gospels were written by eyewitnesses. Likely the first one, Mark, is a work of fiction, and the next two (Luke and Matthew) were just edited versions of the first. The supposed authors likely do not exist, since the names were added on only in the late second century.
And we can see how one version evolved into the other by comparing parallel passages and stories. So it stands naked as a work of edited fiction.

You can't prove the Apostles wrote the Gospels. A few people centuries later decided to slap names on the books without explaining at all how they knew who wrote them, since they weren't even alive at the same time.
This notion of Peter being able to tell "Mark" not to write down the Satan reference to him assumes "Mark" existed.

no these documents where passed around after the crusifiction of christ. they where written by the apostels and then copied into many...and used to teach with

I don't recall Christianity bringing down any empire. The New Testament says to OBEY rulers and governments because God gave them power. So Biblical Christians can't bring down an empire, they can only help build it up.
As for what has spread as fast as Christianity, influenza for starters. Speed of spreading does not prove that the religion is not a lie.

If so, then it's you damning yourself - the evidence of who Jesus really was - as well as what the rock upon which he built his church really was - was there for you to see all along. On my KabaneTheChristian channel, there are two videos defending the Matthean authorship and early date of Matthew. Why don't you deal with that? It's fully evidence based.
I also highly recommend that you read relevant scholarship such as NT Wright and not just listen to DVDs such as the God Who Wasn't There. It's conclusions are laughed at by nearly all biblical scholars. Robert Price is on the far fringe on scholarship- so far, in fact, that he had to start his own journal to publish.

The Jamesian epistle was written about ten-twenty years after Jesus' death. Revelation thirty to sixty years afterwards.
Many scholars have argued that Matthew wrote Matthew, Mark wrote Mark based on Petrine testimony, Luke wrote Luke based on general apostolic tradition transmitted by Paul and John wrote John. Among these scholars are Craig Blomberg, Daniel Wallace, Craig Evans, and many more.

Hey. You're completely wrong and are regurgitating a soundbite delivered to you by Brian Flemming. Mark was written probably twenty years after he died, Matthew, 25, Luke, 30, and John, 60. The Pauline epistles were completed 30 years after Jesus' death. The first Petrine epistle was probably written 30 years after Jesus died, while the second is probably pseudepigrapha and written about 100 years after he died (this is the latest book in the NT) The Johannine epistles, 60 years after he died.

I'm not a historian, so I'm not going to argue about specific dates, but I do know that historians aren't really sure who wrote what and when. Even if you are correct these writings have been translated millions of times. So what Jesus actually said is hard to know. Who ever wrote the Bible and when, I think it's safe to say that God didn't dictate the words to them.
