Ahhh i remember playing battle front one and two on xbox and ps2, and i was really hoping for this to come out for PS3/Xbox 360. They need a new developer like DICE, or maybe the people who made SWTOR, Or perhaps a new game company needs to come in and make the game. As i heard it was supposed to have land, to atmosphere, to space combat on one map, thats a lot of graphics, but would be fun to drop orbital bombardments upon my Republic enemies.

It says Pandemic studios made this. Pandemic made the first two. But went bankrupt and closed down in 2009. Free Radical now own the rights to Battlefront. And if you look in the small print it says Copyright 2004-2009. 2004 was the year Battlefront 1 came out. So it looks like they were making the game but never got to finish it. Thumbs up so people see.

@goodboy196 It is LucasArts who owns the rights not EA. I don't think EA want to spend so many money on the rights for this game, and then on developing the game will also cost alot of money it would be to hard for them to earn those money in again. Even tho it would be awsome of they did. The reason this game did not finish was because LucasArts took the contract from Crytek UK. There is rumors about the contract ending up in the hands of Rebellion Developments.

He isn't the one who decides what consoles the games go on and all that technical jazz. All he does is come in, give some pointers on models and stuff, and leave. And if you really did like Star Wars, then you wouldn't be jumping on the bandwagon and saying 1-3 sucked. They were good. They just could have been better. :P

@HistoryofBlackDell yea a third battlefront came out for the handheld systems, but it wasn't the battlefront 3 trailer that you see here. in fact, it was actually created because the scale of the bf3 for consoles was so big they weren't going to be able to do the same thing for handheld systems so they made a separate game instead.
@steiner11116 if Spark Unlimited finishes the game like it has been rumored you can expect some pretty good graphics coming out of it. I think I saw somewhere that they are planning on using the unreal engine??? not sure on that one...

Too bad this isn't valid anymore. From what I understand, this was true at one time. Then every company that Battlefront 3 went to flopped. It was going to be cohesive gameplay, meaning that land, air, and space would all be connected. But then it became Elite Squadron and the cohesive gameplay became cutscene transitions. The dream of Battlefront 3 lies dormant once again.

Too bad this isn't valid anymore. From what I understand, this was true at one time. Then every company that Battlefront 3 went to flopped. It was going to be cohesive gameplay, meaning that land, air, and space would all be connected. But then it became Elite Squadron and the cohesive gameplay became cutscene transitions. The dream of Battlefront 3 lies dormant once again.

Obviously a Hoax, even if 2010 hadnt already passed. It said Pandemic, and Pandemic had been shut down by then. I think that's the Elite Squadran or whatever for the PSP trailer
