  • anoorada has too much semi-classical experience and that's really diluted her carnatic skills. as long these two are wedded, its unlikely that they won't be together. however, anyone in madras should catch sriram parasuram at concerts as violinist - he's awesome~ and definitely his lec dems. this guys done engineering from BITS or IIT and is an IIM too i think and has phenomenal knowledge of carnatic and hindustani music.

  • Very nice...singing.

I suggest you upload the same in 'Dynamycdesi'.It is a online talent contest site for people and gives an award to the 'Best Talent'.

  • not at all pleasing to listen to!

  • Good demonstration of Cacophony :P

  • very good

  • The cacophony theme is apt! Thanks

  • I think this is a case of playing to the gallery by Jaya TV, I bet most non-serious carnatic rasikas will know Anuradha due to here film music more than a genius like Vijaya Siva or Sanjay! But it is to their credit that they did not fill up this popular platform with just the mediocre ones!!

  • Anooradha is just taking starting part of swaras of Jagadanandakaraka and ending up with mess. (lack of maturity). Sruthi difference is wide. This duo is not very much pleasing to hear.

  • Guys - They have to be told. The group thing doesnt work with them.

  • Question is: Who will bell the cat? Newspaper music critics consistently give them good reviews - dishonesty? conflict of interest? I just don't understand!! At least, here, we are not hesitant or afraid of calling a spade a spade.

  • the cacophony theme is hilarious. LOL

such a pity, they had such good accompanists.

what an amazing project you have undertaken carnaticopia! great job and thanks for all the videos.

  • Together, the duet is just not working. Someone has to say this and put an end to the suffering (theirs and ours). Maybe, individually, they are not so bad.

The project itself has turned out to be a very satisfying hobby for me as well. Thanks for the compliments.

  • I guess they complement each other by sticking together....Anuradha is not good in singing raga and her kalpana swaras look like they were rehersed for ages... lack of creativity....Sriram's singing is not appealing...However, its not pleasing to hear....

  • Well, like you said, individually, they are bad at certain things. Together, they complement their imperfections, and make it perfect by being bad at everything!!!

  • I can't agree more.... :)
