@jasnogt im def in the era of daft punk loved their work but i love friendly fires too no doubtedly they were somewhat majorly influenced by them both have very funky sounds i guess the music industry is recreating past genres for the newer generation though we shouldnt complain as u said some band will come along in years to come and be influenced by friendly fires. Friendly Fires is a band. I always imagine them in front of me making music. Daft Punk is just a light show but I still love them.

@JasnoGT It's not because you're older, it's because you're stupid. A lot of people love Daft Punk but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy music that may be heavily influenced by them. I don't even hear Daft Punk when I hear Friendly Fires, sure I hear the influences but their sound is pretty distinct after 2 albums. Not original, just distinct. There are a lot of bands I listen to now that I can easily see myself forgetting about in the future but Friendly Fires isn't one of them.
