I wish people in Africa leave Islam or any other crutches, stand on their own feet and start to slowly build up their lifes. Pearls are grains of rice found on the side of the road. She wraps each one as if its precious as pearls for her little girl. And the sadness of this song is we, so blessed yet with stones where our hearts should be, cannot even relate to her pain. And when we do try, our greatest pain we can equate it to is the blisters caused by brand new shoes. That is the saddest thing.
The beauty of this song is that there is a world out there that is so much more dismal than ours will ever be, and there IS hope that IF we ever connect and become selfless, we I pray we do, that we truly CAN help poverty and starving children around the world. That is MY prayer.

I know about Ordinary Love, and Smooth Operator, but had not heard this song until I walked unto a store yesterday where it was playing. Wow. So powerful. There must be much music out there that is beautiful but not "radio worthy". I have to listen to every Sade song now, to escape the prison of my ignorance.

Wow, this song captures beautifully the struggle my mother went through, Trying to survive and raise me and my brothers in Somalia. She is the strongest person I have EVER met.

I wish people in Africa leave Islam or any other crutches, stand on their own feet and start to slowly build up their lifes. I clearly understand the context of this transformation, how painfull, long term and seemingly impossible it can be. I wish african nations could help each other and not to fight. I wish peace and love for all the kids soldiers and I hope that one day Africa will be modern and prospective but still beautifull and natural.

Pearls are grains of rice found on the side of the road. She wraps each one as if its precious as pearls for her little girl. And the sadness of this song is we, so blessed yet with stones where our hearts should be, cannot even relate to her pain. And when we do try, our greatest pain we can equate it to is the blisters caused by brand new shoes. That is the saddest thing.

i'm not a big fa of Sade. i actualy only found her, because of all the spam posters, hung out on the streets, and it got so annoying, that i just had to see why the big fuss about someone hardly anyone has heard of. But i have to say, Its quite nice. listening to something calmer now and again, like this.. take a step back from fast and aggresive hip hop and all that.
