what a moving tribute...just beautiful. can you tell me the name of the music you have used? Thank you for posting this video, I now know the amazing skater, Cecilia Colledge.
shes amazing. so very graceful :) i think this would be the best figure skating music for me. what is it called?? i love it!! this video is very good. inspiring :)
Thank you so much for uploading this. I had seen footage of Ms. Colledge before and I always thought she was a stronger skater than Sonja Henie. Politics, I suppose. Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks - her career was limited by WWII but she was a true pioneer who moved the sport forward - who can imagine ladies figure skating without the layback spin, or the camel - as Dick Button says, she made the sport different and better just because she was in it.
I am so spoiled that I did not realize the significance of the double Salchow at 1:35. This was history. Cecilia was the first woman to perform a double jump.
Wow thanks for uploading such a gorgeous clip! Very very moving.
She looks like a much stronger free skater than Henie. I guess Henie must have been much better at figures to have beaten Colledge so many times.......
These are extraordinary films!.........so wonderful to see. You have brought her to life as a personality. I met her once at a SC of BOSTON dance session. Such an icon....thanks and best wishes....terrific effort
Skate in the heavens Cecillia . You are a talented woman . R.I.P

Cecilia was the Midoti Ito/Peggy Fleming of her day. Athletic grace combined beautifully. A pioneer and innovator in the sport. RIP.

She had a beautiful line--much more like modern-day skaters than Henie and others of her era. Also--innovative spins and nice spirals.

I think its interesting that although she was a contemporary of Henie her technique is much more similar to today's skaters than Henie's was.

Wow . . . that first face shot of her is gorgeous and the rest is incredibly moving, and, yes, her spins are very recognizable.
