  • Happy Birthday, Pearl. Sorry I forgot. Your Birthday, not you, darlin'.

  • Janis Joplin is stunning.

    She is my idol! <3

  • Thumbs up if you think I should do a cover for this

  • She was my favorite female atrist a great singer with a wonderful voice - died way too soon - but 35 years later still my favorite female blues artist and my 33 year old son will tell you she was great along with Jimmy Hendricks - greatest artists that died too soon.

  • cette chanson me fait des frissons, elle est trop belle

  • HB Janis ;)

  • one of the legends

  • Happy 69th Birthday Janis!!!

  • Happy Birthday Janis

  • @GretschGal

I'm 64 years old - old enough to remember and old enough to know you're speaking the truth!

  • 53 Personas sin sentido musical :C

  • I'm so blessed that she was...my time...and she was despised by every "Blues Diva", Black & White. She would have shared the stage with anyone, but none of them would dare share it with her. From Heaven to Earth....and Earth to Heaven, Ain't no one ever good as you Janis, R.I.P.~~

  • Ela é foda ! foda-se se morreu ... Pra mim não

  • Caralhoo a voz dessa me arrepia !

  • 14 billion year crucifixion all about sex life - NOT ABOUT LUCY & PAT DIMAURO - remember the DAMNED and how they made everybody suffer - not body and blood - all about sex

  • Let me start but saying that Janis is my favorite female artist of all time. But she reminds me of Adel, not very attractive in the traditional way, but a voice to die for. Before you reply and tell me I'm an idiot for comparing the two, I did not say that Adel was better or that they are similar in any other way other than they are not the most traditional beautiful woman that can sing their asses off.

  • Jim Jones,T.I.,and Bun B-"End Of The Road".#CatchinSamples

  • She was never ugly ffs - beautiful outside and beauty within.

  • She was beautiful and was Blessed with an incredible voice that was unique to her that could never be copied! RIP Janis.

  • she looked ungly because of drugs!! :/ be realistic for once in your life...

  • she came from a time when it didn't matter for a singer to be good lookin' or not. She could sing, that matters

  • @Frizzle1981 She had a kind of beauty that was natural and uncomplicated. She didn't make herself up or try to be beautiful. She had talent and her inner beauty shone so brightly that it reflected outwardly without any effort.

  • @bamboomzingg Reading the comments here really angers me...Not yours bamboozing..just tagging on..Nobody ever talks about looks when it;s a male artist...Never....only women...Things will never change...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • @Frizzle1981 heart and soul is all that matters.

  • @Frizzle1981 Én is imádom, olyan energia és életöröm jön Belőle,nagyszerű.

  • @Frizzle1981 I think she's beautiful

  • @Frizzle1981 She has always been a favorite artist of mine. I remember exactly where I was and what I as doing the day she died. Now my daughter and grand daughter know all her songs. She will live on forever in our hearts.

  • That first "crrrrrrrrry" she stretches and sings always gives me goosebumps. Which last until the end of the song.

  • e5bBvvWwlSg&feature=related <------ chilean janis

  • amazing

  • She was beautiful!

  • Love this woman? Go check out Beth Hart, she is modern times' Janice...;)

  • mello4eva I have seen top copied comments like this 100 times. FUCK!

  • una voce come pochi altri

  • It's a sign of our times that so many people criticise Joplin's looks before praising her talent. I was watching Van Morrison vids before this and read nothing commenting on how unrewarding he was to look at.

  • ugly or cracked ... we love her 4ever

  • I'm born too late -

  • And this whole time I thought she was singing "Cry Boehner".

  • @kyrieeleison1973 Well that orange man does cry...but not as much as the country he screws over with his wicked, dumb policies.

  • This is just plain "kick-ass", and I think the great Garnett Mimms would have to agree!

  • your voice is magic my God, thanks janis, the best

  • AMAZING AND LISTEN TO THIS NINA SIMONE SONG!!

  • I dont think she was ugly... she didnt try to be pretty..

  • @hrs121280 agree

  • @hrs121280 i think she is beautiful :)

  • @hrs121280 She didnt need to try to be pretty, her music spoke volumes....................

  • @hrs121280

That lady had soul she didn't need to be pretty. Listen to the cut and tell me you can't feel her singing to you someplace deep inside. That's because she sang the way she felt. Sometimes pained, other times joyously happy, she couldn't help herself that my friend made her beautiful.

  • @maf5454 i totally agree, my comment was not to insult her, but a compliment. I just wish more artists were like her!

  • @hrs121280

love your comment! pitty such artists aren't walking on this earth anymore!

  • @mechmusician

To me she is the most beautiful singer all the times. And if she drinks , so what ? Drinking is goed if you likes. And she was not a slut , she was just desperatly serching for love.

The las part you whrote is absolutly true.

  • Whiskey voiced from Beaumont TX...awesome vocals, Janis. You're missed.

  • she is the best, her voice is wonderful

  • absolute pure fckn soul! what a gift she was to her generation, and future generations! and NO she wasnt ugly! she was a beautiful soul, a tortured soul, yes, but a beautiful soul!

  • e si...dannatamente bella e noi l'ameremo per sempre!!!

  • Quel voix des année aprés sa mort, toujours pas remplacer

  • I was not supposed to have been born in the 90's.

  • mechmusician, How could you ever judge Janis, or call her ugly, and people with the raw power she possessed tend to fuck whomever they choose. Her voice was not opera quality, but she was much more than that. Did you ever see her? I did, and I defend her honor, and had you called her ugly to my face I would kick your ass.

  • @blou4now I agree totally and I'd join you in kicking mechmusician's ass.

  • @blou4now I'll help.

  • nice,miss janis

  • Janis is an Icon for my Father and Uncles. I Grown up with her. I love her.

    I'm born in the 90's but I'm a 70/80s Kid.

  • Takovej spratek a jak krásně zpívala

  • janis is singing to my soul

  • janis is singing to my soul

  • She was ugly. Her voice cracked. Sometimes she was off-key. She was a notorious slut and drunkard. But no woman ever sang with more of her soul than Janis. It's as if every ounce of love, passion, emotion, fury, anger, understanding, honesty, sensuality, and her entire being poured over the mic. She sang as if to one person, but made everybody feel as she did. And that's what makes her so damn beautiful. Nobody will ever replace you. We'll always miss you Janis. And we'll always love you.

  • @mechmusician Dude, Janis is was a babe. I don't know what your saying by saying she was ugly

  • @LoveMrHippie i agree totally

  • @mechmusician I raised my daughter on Janis. Wish she could have felt the electricity in the air when she sang. She's still rockin' on in my world!

  • @mechmusician uhm she was so beautifully gifted, no tek could ever

cover her amazing abilitity. I love her tooooo. So much. But too me she was not Ugly, her voice - if it cracked was because she had NO MAKEOVERS. She may have slept around, well, so have I, and more wanted Lady's amongst us. She sure drank and I am now very drunk. Many amongst us are. But she sure can release our strayed emotions... so - so - bloody easly....

  • @mechmusician she was not ugly. she just didnt make up so much and care to promote her music with her looks ;)

  • @infernodisco *** Correct in a way.,when younger she did a bit.But in was not Janis, and then 'her music',Janis WAS the music. The 'looks' thing was miles and miles below her...Do you think Michelangelo said," Hmmmmm ,what am I going to wear tonight ?See..? Same thing,a different level.

  • @mechmusician your comment totally made my night.my best goes out to you :)

  • @mechmusician- Insecure, and very shallow people, and those without life experience, judge by looks. But there are many many who do,still.Dick Cavet,a late night talk show Host,to teach the dumb and the shallow, had two guests on his show....Janis Joplin, and sitting right next to her Raquel Welsh, the 'body' the 'sex' symbol, who had ALL of the looks. He said..here world see what is the truth, well not out loud, but you could not help but notice,Raquel, was two inches deep if that.Janis was the universe.

  • we will love you forever J.J.

  • no other could sing like this

  • She sang her soul out of the body

  • janis is awesome

  • fuck off 42 people..

  • What gets me is why do the people who are negative and don't like Janis even click on her videos and watch them? I agree with friendsfan4U...to listen to some Hannah Montana and leave us with Janis :)

  • @joyhaydon I don´t think that people who listen Hannah Montana ever heard about Janis :)

  • Janis...need I say more??? She totally ROCKS!!!!

  • Very few women can drive me to tears. Janis Joplin is one of them.

  • @tess0717 ...Uhhhh....No. It's Janis, like the script on the cover

    p.s., that isn't her signature.

  • Comment removed

  • a loss to the world with her passing. janis crammed a lifetime into 27 yrs. her music will keep her alive forever.

  • Great.

  • What a great song, and what a great singer. Her ability to share the emotional impact of a song was her greatest talent. And the undeniable power of her voice surpassed that of most present day artist.
