yea! Give them subs more power before using them... cuz it rlly seems like u use ur kids' karaoke machine... but they are nice... though i haven't seen many of them.
the subs have plenty of power hes using a Carver home audio system to power it so they are doing fine and yes the sounds turned down so thats why you dont get a proper feel of its full potential but im not baggin you out man just stating and yeah they are decent subs too
please give it more power before you broke theme baecouse they not have the effect they want. what amp are you using? your kids kareoke mashine? Nise subs btw. earthquake are good thing if you are a normal consument.
umm it shows u the amp in the begining and in the description it says that he didnt have it turned up a lot idiot all u idiots piss me off when u ask stupid ass questions when the answer is right in the damn description!
oi man put round holes, bro you'll get better air flow. and put your port holes going rite to the other side, of the box. with about 5 centermetre, gap at the end. :)
Thats sounds great ima build my kustom sub box 2marrow for my 2 12inch JBL GT1200's hopfully it will be loud but i have a good idea on the set up so we will see.. Urs sounds great!
sweet. you can send it to me and as soon as i can i will post a vid of my system. im going to hit up circuit city later and hopefully add more subs. that would be nice
Sorry for not being able to make a new vid. I haven't had any camera to shoot it with, and right now it's like 3feet of snow outside so i'm at least going to wait till some of the snow is gone before i make a new vid.
im not putting you down but why hook up car subs in a house? thats stupid and easier to blow them becuz the singin and shit is commin out of them and it will fuck up the coil
I understand that. Thats also the reason why i didn't play loud in this vid. This was the first test of the sub, just to see if everything worked properly. I didn't have any low pass filter hooked up at the time so i was takin it easy with the volume. And i am NOT using this sub in my house. It sits in the car.
@lilballa1941 with my stereo i have a special jack meant for a sub so i have that running to a house hamp thats powering my 12 inch CVR kicker, nothing comes out of it but bass no singing. i have a different amp powering my speakers
cant you read dude?? He is testing the box.. He is not going to use it on that amp, he is just checking if everything is okay with the subwoofers and stuff..
If you knew what you were talking about, you would certainly understand that you could easily use a car subwoofer in a house. The difference lies in the amp. In this video, as revolt13 said, i was using a PA amplifier to power the woofers, instead of a car amplifier, which essentially does the same job, but is running on 12V DC instead of 120/240V AC.
Btw, i know i should have used a low-pass filter. I just didn't have one at the time..
I wasn`t talking about the extreme 12s vs my woofers, i meant your statement about that Earthquake was rubbish. I can`t find any woofers from Selenium that could outdo an Earthquake HoLeeS 15.. Btw. The DB series, which are the ones that i have, are the entry level series from Earthquake, while the Extreme series are almost top of the line from Selenium.
yeye w/e my Ground Zero Gzpw 15 pwn what ever you have anyways so dont fuck with axis.. Your just a tuf guy behind you keyboard.. Come meat us and face that me and axis would have pwnd your system..
Don't forget to buy a Sony 4500 Watt amp if you really want to see how loud your sub can be. (If you put the amp to full volume you will be lucky if you able to hear).
I know the port area is too small. the box is tuned to around 38Hz. I`m going to modify the box to get a larger port area, and tune it to around 33Hz.
I`ve got some real power on it. Hifonics BX1500D running at 2ohms, putting out around 1000wrms. Plenty for those subs, which are rated at 400wrms a piece.
That is wrong. Car subs do not "run" on 12v, they only recieve the output signal coming from the amplifier. It`s the amp thats running on a given voltage, either 12v, which typically are car amps (some run on 24v), and around 130v (230v where i live) for regular house amps.
you actually need to use ohms whitch cars are 4 ohms and house is 8 ohms to 16 ohms you can cross wire witch is kinada hard to fins out and if you should use a resiter and a fuse whitch is the smart way i used 2 car subs and they lasted like 2 yrs without a fuse and resistor probly twice as long with them
OMG, (face Palm), I was basically gonna say what the next guy said. Now if your speakers did recieve a 130v input signal, than yes, they would blow, unless you have a really good speaker like mine that can take it for awhile!
You can run car audio at home/home audio in a car, trust me. It wont damage it. The speaker doesnt recieve voltage directly. As Axis82 said, the voltage travels through the amp/stereo before your speaker.
earthquake is good they have a 24000 peak watts amplifier and a 15000 sub check out their site earthquakesound(.) com if you dont believe me. if its the same brand i speak of
you cant seriously mean that u have hocked up an ipod to that rig? ipod is like the farthest away from sound-quality every, really... anything beats it, except other mp3 players, et som vinyl or tubeamp
Yeah, the subs are ok for the price, but they are not really THAT good. They don`t really sound like 15s, I bet a good 12 like a Fi, RE or something would easily outrun them..
Gotta get another car that i can put some 18s inside!

don't store or place your ipod near magnets (subwoofers) the magnets actually erase/fry your hard drive.
